Interesting week to say the least.... have some heavy matchups this week in CFB. Notable games: Texas A&M-Oklahoma St. - ESPN 6:30 PM CST (THURS) Miami-Clemson - ESPN2 11 AM CST Northwestern-Minnesota - ESPN 11 AM CST Kansas-Baylor - 11 AM CST Navy-Air Force - Versus 1:30 PM CST Texas-OU - ABC 2:30 PM CST Wisconsin-Michigan St. - ABC 2:30 PM CST Michigan-Indiana - ESPNU 2:30 PM CST Virginia Tech-North Carolina St.- ABC 2:30 PM CST Washington St.-UCLA - 2:30 PM CST Arizona St.-Oregon St. - 5:30 PM CST Florida-Alabama - CBS 7 PM CST Stanford-Oregon - ABC 7 PM CST Washington-USC - ESPN2 7 PM CST Notre Dame-BC - ABC 7 PM CST Penn St.-Iowa - ESPN 7:05 PM CST Nevada-UNLV - 9 PM CST Surprised Florida-Bama game isn't on national TV... It'll be interesting to see how Texas responds in the red river rivalry game coming after a loss to UCLA last week and then Stanford-Oregon should be nice match up. Another great week of CFB.
Because of Denard Robinson, I'm more interested in watching Michigan vs. IU than Texas vs. Oklahoma. I also want to see if Stanford can dominate the line of scrimmage against Oregon, or even if they do, will Oregon's creativity and speed on offense be enough to carry them. Because of Fringe and The Mentalist, Thursday night college FB matchups have to be decent for me to watch. I expect Alabama to destroy Florida. Their defense will chew up and spit out Florida's offense.
Got the company seats for Sat's game at the rose bowl should be a blast tailgating without having to worry where I parked after the game
Hopefully. Our D looked rough in the first half against Arkansas. Lack of experience showed big time. ....also hoping that Burton kid is a fluke.
UF's offense looks "rough" too. Ryan Mallet crumbled wihen Alabama's D started playing with intensity. Brantley isn't ready.
a winnable game for Baylor that they need to win if they want to make a bowl appearance. fingers crossed that Texas finds a way to beat OU.
I don't think you watched the same game I did. Mallett didn't crumble from the intensity of the Bama defense - it wasn't as if he was under a lot of pressure or seeing any complex schemes. He threw into triple coverage, somehow short-armed a throw out of bounds, and had receivers drop wide-open passes. It was the ultimate in individual meltdowns. I think Bama beats Florida, but due to its ridiculous offensive line and skill position talent on offense, not the defense. That defense is still very vulnerable and will catch up with them at some point in SEC play, imo.
I'm looking forward to the UF/Bama game. Brantley isn't as good as we had hoped out of the gate, but he, along with the rest of the team, has shown improvement each week so that's a positive. Particularly after the first week which looked very troublesome (by Florida standards). This should be a good test to see where we stand right now. We have a chance, but really I'm just hoping we make it a tough game. Anything better than last year's SEC championship game.
Haven't seen the Aggies play in a LONG time. Looking forward to seeing where their team is at. Hearing about their offense, and sounds like their D is better this season.
For the first time in almost 10yrs Aggie defense doesn't look half bad. Watch OSU score off 1 play now that I said it.
AGGIES are wrecking shop right now. OSU is just getting pushed around. That defense is all over the place making plays. Did I hear the announcer correctly that OSU has the Nation's #1 offense?
