You are likely correct, but that's why the system in place seems to be a huge joke. You can't punish a team for bad injury luck. That's just absurd. Style points are being more sought after than wins and losses at this point, and it's ridiculous.
Oregon's offense, especially Mariota, is in full choke mode, yet they are up 13-0 because of the defense.
Earlier this week @ToddFuhrman said Vegas would favor twenty teams over Arizona. Maybe it should be 25.
Congrats to Oregon on clinching a playoff spot(did I just say that?) and Marcus Mariota on his Heisman!
My prediction for today: Ohio State & FSU lose, opening the door for Baylor ... who also loses. Either a 1-loss FSU, or 2-loss Wisconsin or K-State make the playoff.
"Head to head hasn't been factored in yet" Jeff Long says as he continues to release weekly rankings... LOL
I have no idea what will happen, but I'd love to see both Baylor and TCU in the playoffs. Never liked Ohio St, and FSU has looked beatable most of the year. GTech is a tough matchup, just because nobody really runs that type of offense outside of the service academies. Citadel does, and they ran for 250 against FSU earlier this year.
The problem is Tech's one legit deep threat receiver will miss the game. He has nearly half of their receiving yards. They will be too one-dimensional to pull it out.
Greg Ward looked like Vince Young on that final drive. But once again, he couldn't finish off a game-tying or game-winning drive.
Welp, Bama's offense just punked Mizzou's defense on the first drive. The Tigers really can't afford to fall behind big , so this first offensive drive for them will be huge.
Alabama scores a second touchdown and Shane Ray is ejected on the same play, so suffice it to say things aren't looking great for Mizzou.
Who O why did Georgia have to blow it against Florida? The guy deserved the ejection. Dumb play that further buries Mizzou in the ground.
It'll be a while before the East catches up with the West in the SEC. Just not even comparable right now. I'm just ready to see how Baylor does, even though I think the committee has sealed their fate already, barring an FSU loss. We'll see.
