Clyde sounds like one of those video game announcers to me. I like Bull but he is too much of a joker for me to take him seriously. We need Robert Horry imo.
It was refreshing getting the Raptors announcers last night on LPBB. They were excited about the Raptors, but they were incredibly knowledgeable about the Rockets. They must have spent 15-20 minutes talking about Lowry and his development as a player from Memphis until today. I was stunned that they were showing Lowry highlights cutting into commercial breaks. They also knew about Martin's shooting slumps and talked about Chase's defense. It's a nice change of pace to get announcers who know the opposing players and can talk intelligently about them.
Do you live outside Houston? I live 100 miles from Houston and the Rockets games are blacked out on LP.
It's been nearly 20 years since he helped bring a championship to Houston. Time to move on. The guy was great and will always be honored as a player in Houston but as a commentator he is horrid. I actually don't mind listening to home game from other commentators because he adds nothing but tiring repetitive one-liners to our games.
