He was clearly pushed, he is just too big to fall. He was selling that foul.

Omer might not jump as high as Chandler, but he is as active. He is heavier than Chandler and it will be a lot harder to move him if the offense player choose to go one on one down low. I think Morey finally get his top 20 player, once he gets his offense going next 2 years.

I love Asik as much as anyone but, you can't say he's on par with the reigning DPOY this early. He's got to earn that distinction.

Yes I can say he is on par with him. I also am not the only person that believes that.

Tyson is a freaking overpaid scrub. Anybody compared to melo and stoudemire is gonna look good. I hate seeing that b*stard right under the paint that can't finish strong. I think what I hate most is his Garnett tactics. Yelling and screaming for bull**** plays.

Tyson's biggest contribution is his role as a roving defender with his ability to cover a lot of paint, knowing where/when to rotate and block shots mainly on the weakside. He does those things really well, but his one area defensively that's not a real strength is that he doesn't have the strength to play straight up on really strong post players. Omer's footwork is almost as good as Tyson's, but his size/length makes up for that on shotblocking. Plus, his strength actually gives him more upside defensively than Tyson. On offense, Tyson's hands give him a big advantage though.

I always thought Chandler is overrated, there is a reason he was not highly regarded after many years in the league until with the Mavs. The guys talks/yells more than action.

From these interviews and the scrimmage videos, you can tell the players respect Asik's defense.

Rip Lambilton, Royceed Wallace and Chaseaun Prince would disagree.

So is O a pick and roll player? I guess this is why McHale may be a good match and Morey is capitilizing? IE getting LIN at point v. our old motion offense guys... MARTIN, LOWRY, etc.

I wonder how well Martin will do in a pick and roll offense???

Either way, I can't wait to see Asik develop...

don't big guys usually bloom late?

Lin destroyed the league last season finding bigs passing out of the pnr, but he was also excellent at finding his shooters on the perimeter. KMart will thrive playing with Lin. I don't think he has to change his game in any way to score points with Lin at point.

I'm still excited about Asik. While many were ragging on the money he got paid I was excited about Morey stealing him from the Bulls for what amounts to only 8-9 million per year. He is going to be awesome for us.

Now, if only Morey can get that superstar...

If Lin can find Martin (& Parsons) on the baseline behind the 3 pt line, after penetrating deep into the paint, like he did with Novak, Martin can really do some damage by drawing fouls when opponents will be rushing to close down on his shots and will be out of position.

It will work better than a dribble hand-off where the defense is more ready and balanced.

Why Parsons also? Check out his 3-pt percentage from the baseline 3 area.
