Thanks for the recap, TheYoyo. You do have gift for the glib.

You mention Morey's expressions of frustrations and anguish. I take it they are mostly as a result of Hill's poor play. If this continues, I wonder how will this affect Morey's plan to upgrade at the backup C position, knowing that Andersen, Hayes, and Hill do not appear the answer for a team who intends to be competitive.

Let's hope for a better showing from Hill next game.

Well, I don't know about that statement from D'Antoni. A bit of classless from D'Antoni.

Back to Hill, I think players can be forgiven for playing poorly despite giving max efforts. While we hear that Hill is one of the players working with CD this summer, his seemingly lackadaisical work THUS FAR, leads one to question how hard is Hill really working. I am not really privy to their training, so the above statement may be a bit unfair. Nevertheless...

In contrast, anybody watching Taylor's play so far will correctly assume dude is busting his chops this summer to gain significant pt this year.

I saw you chatting with Morey at the first game's halftime. Any juicy tidbits you would like to share with your fellow clutchfans? ;)

I have faith that Hill will bounce back. As you can see last year, most of his great plays were derived from the amount of hustle he showed out on the court.

That's still really bad. If you don't play hard in practice, you're not going to get the playing time on the court right off the bat either.

Regardless of whether or not Hill improves - having a crappy effort from the onset is just really poor character and demonstrates weak work ethic.

In the NBA - everyone has loads of talent. What differentiates stars from bench players is often work ethic.

i have a very strong feeling that hill isnt gonna improve at all. should have traded him as soon as the rockets were able to.

if this continues, d'antoni will be vindicated for not playing hill.

It is very difficult to gauge NBA careers based on summer league games. We should not pass judgment based on JT's dominance or JH's mediocre performances. Sit, watch, and enjoy the games.
