MOREY SCREWED UPPPP ON THIS ONE.

So Toronto had to take back 3 million back in salary. Ok, why didn't we just give them Ariza? Or Brooks? Or ANYONE?

I'd have done Brooks + Jefferies for Chandler ANYDAY. And Twice on Mondays.

Morey just purely wanted to dump 3 million of junk on Toronto, I mean, why couldn't we have given up like Hill at least??

    SMFHHHHH........

No, he's not dim-witted. Just incurably obstinate in his contrary view of the Rockets and their management.

We can argue all we want but truth be told is Morey put all his marbles that Yao would recover and play at a high to dominate level. Yao's done it before, broke his foot recovered came back 20 + / 10 while impacting the game defensively with his sheer size. Yao breaks his leg December 2006, same thing came back 20 + / 10. In early 08 Yao decides to shut it down to have corrective surgery that would enable him to perform for China in the Beijing Olympics. He did the same thing that following season alongside the acquisition of Artest all the way to game 3 of the semi-finals against LA. So at training camp, we see a fully recovered Yao with revolutionary surgery to prevent recurring fractures. Only this time the fracture occurs at the inner ankle. Despite not feeling pain, Yao shuts it down again to repair his "Grant Hill" type of fracture. As we can see this season was indeed speculation of Yao's recovery and return to dominance yet again as he's done in the past only this time it was promised that it was the surgery to end all surgeries.
