From the small amount we saw in the preseason, T-Will didn't look bad. Parsons just looked better and we all see why. Still, since it seems as if Bud is going into a little bit of a slump( if you can call it that ), maybe he will see some minutes in the second half of the season if he is still here.

Again, it's not just Parsons. He can't beat out Budinger. And when Lee was injured, he couldn't beat out Dragic at the 2. I call the "he's not bad just not better than the other guys" BS. If Budinger is better than him, then "not bad" pretty much means he's a below average bench player.

You would think he would have the tools to at least be what VonWafer was for the Rockets a few seasons ago, but so far there are no signs that he can.

The Rockets traded for him, so it's silly to suggest they want him to fail. If he can't stay on the floor for three different coaches, then he has probably done something, or not done something to deserve his spot. Maybe he is consistently late for meetings and practice? Maybe he just doesn't run the plays that are called?

Sometimes you get a player who is talented enough to match up with anyone in a pickup game, but put them in an organized team and they aren't as effective. Some players are only effective when they are the number one option. TMac was this way and it was part of the reason he wasn't brought back when he was traded to the Knicks. He needed to dominate the ball to play his game, but no longer had the ability to do so at an elite level.

I suspect if TWill was the number one option on a team then he could put up some good numbers, but I don't think a team could play that way and win many games.

Obviously, as things currently stand, I would agree; it seems unlikely he immediately becomes a "Lin" story. The reference is more to the potential of the right set of circumstances and/or coaching -- or both -- that allows him to shine more as he did at Louisville. And he might even be given those circumstances and fail. The NBA is different from college ball. I think we'll find out in the next year or two. He would be wiser to modify his game to try to get playing time and let his natural abilities showcase themselves -- or not. Sitting on the bench and adhering to a "style" that was doesn't serve his real goal of being on the court and playing BB. Adaptation is the key to survival in many arenas.

it's messed up that jordan "single/single" hill got more chances at playing time than t-will.

A lot of people complain about T-Will's lack of a jumper, but he really improved his jumper during the lockout. He shot it well during the preseason and during the games where he got playtime. Despite his career 3pt percentage being poor, he's shot at 44% on this season in the minutes he's seen. I think he's got the jumper; he just needs the playtime to show it more.

Lack of jumper is only the second thing.
Above all he does not listen to the coach
