If he leaves Miami he won't hurt the fans feelings there because they aren't real fans anyways.

Think of all the awesome jerseys we would wear. LeBron teams always get to wear throwbacks and extra alternate jerseys every season. Would love to see Bron Bron, Dwight and James sporting the pajama throwbacks haha

Every flaw in the Heat's roster is a strength of the Rockets.

    Elite rim protection? Check

Elite 2nd (Harden), 3rd (Howard), and 4th (Parsons) scoring options? Check

    Youth? Check

Ability to improve the roster, either by draft, trade or eurostashes? Check

If LeBron ignores all the noise and keeps his mind on the court, the answer should be obvious.

Look, from a basketball perspective there is no question (except in the mind of national media) that the best situation for Lebron would be Houston. Nobody here needs convincing of that. Most just don't believe he would actually leave Miami to go a new team to win a title. He would never shake the mercenary label.

If getting even just ONE championship means trading Harden for Carmelo, thereby mortgaging our franchise's future due to Lebron/Melo/Howard's window of opportunity closing, I don't see how anyone in their right mind wouldn't say yes.

Why again would Lebron push for the Rockets to trade Harden for Melo???

Because Carl Herrera doesn't like him???

If Lebron is leaving the Heat you've got to assume its to win titles and to pair up with a team that can take some of the burden off of his shoulders.

Swapping a younger star on a better contract for an older star who plays basically the same position/s as Lebron like Melo wouldn't really make sense. I'd think one of the perks of coming to Houston would be having another facilitating play-maker who is much younger than anyone else he could pair with.

I would think that Lebron would have had enough of playing with Older Stars like Wade & Ray Allen to want to go young instead. So I really dont get why even bring up trading Harden unless your wanting to stir up the hornets nest more.

Don't think it's a matter of him pushing. More likely it would be that Morey has conversations with NY and Melo regardless of LeBron's decision, and we know we are able to obtain him (Melo). Morey then has the ability to give LeBron the option of who he'd rather play with. If LeBron chooses Melo, we pull the trigger. Remember, LeBron has played with both Harden and Melo in the Olympics, so it's possible that he prefers Melo's game over Harden's. I do agree with you that this scenario is most unlikely, even after the assumption that LeBron would consider playing here.

Rockets have every advantage except for COACH. Though they could change that. :p

What coach, or assistant, would tempt Lebron to leave Miami? Curious minds want to know.

    Apparently LeBron wants Mark Jackson.

Our pitch should include the sweep of Spurs in regular season...Honestly, this is just like the Dwight situation - sounds unlikely but is the only reasonable choice for the star player.

Its not a matter of him pushing, but its a matter of preference? Kinda one in the same with Lebron because regardless of how much he pushes or even hints at the issue, any GM would do it to get him. He might as well be pushing.

That being said, I just dont see why its even a point of conversation. If Lebron is interested in joining the Rockets, that has to mean Harden & Howard. If the point is to join Carmelo than what's the point of even looking at Houston? The combo of Harden & Howard are the attraction first and foremost. If he's not attracted to Harden/Howard than I dont see why he's attracted to Houston in the first place.

He certainly didn't seem to care about the national media when he left for Miami, so why would he start now? This move would probably be more welcomed anyways seeing as how he's won 2 championships, and it's obvious Miami is on the decline.

Loved the read, Clutch, as unlikely as it is. Highly unlikely, but not impossible. :-D-

The FIT in Houston for Lebron is perfect as finsraider already pointed out.

The problem is the media backlash against Lebron if he leaves "another" team. And how sensitive Lebron is to those things.

Miami would have to really burn some bridges for Lebron to break that inertia.

Why would you trade a good team player for a selfish chucker? Harden is the younger version of a more offensively polished D. Wade. With LeBron at the three his defensive assignments gets easier. Why does everyone want Carmelo so bad
