I wouldn't want to help out the Mav's by giving them Asik, who BTW, we would have to face several times during the season and possibly even in the playoffs... you know he would get extra pumped up whenever the two teams faced each other on account of him feeling 'disrespected' by the Rox for bringing in DH.

Don't need PG since we have Harden. Marion is better as the wing defender (bigger and more versatile than Beverly)

 

Marion is a great fit with 3 ball and defense. But do we need another pg?

Larkin looked really good last night. Would not mind having him. I'd also think the Rockets would want more than these two. Marion is a good player still but he is old and his contract is ending-- so you either have to pay him or lose him.

Claims to hear sourced info that is very vague and pretty much every Clutchfans poster can see as a possibility. "Rockets talking to teams about Asik".... well duh.... "Morey very interested in Danny Granger(2011)" .... well duh.

Have a very hard time thinking that the Mavs and Rockets would ever trade with each other to begin with, and secondly that's not really a great trade for the Rockets unless Marion has about 5 good years left in him which I doubt.

 

Marion's skill set may fit (for now) but his age doesn't. He provides no intermediate or even short term asset value to the team. His skill set is predicated on speed/quickness, which is diminishing and can drop off quickly at his age. Once that is gone, the Rox gets nothing from him back. Why Larkin when you have Canaan. It's not happening.

The Danny Granger trade proposal actually makes a lot of sense. Need to throw in D-Mo to make the money work.

Asik/D-Mo for Granger.

Then you can bring Parsons off the bench and he can see how it feels (see Parsons comments re: Asik coming off the bench and needing to be a professional [j/k])

 

Why would the Pacers want Asik, when they already have a better Asik in Roy Hibbert?

 

According to most here on CF, we do.

 

Marion would be a great fit and a good insurance to keep Parsons honest. I wonder what kind of advice Omer will give Chandler if he starts coming off the bench.

 

Shawn Marion is too old. If he finds the Fountain of Youth and reverts back to the Marion of the Phoenix Suns SSOL days, fine. Otherwise, I'd pass....

Plus, his three point shot is FARRR from dependable. His shooting percentage will come back down to Earth soon.

 

You could knock me over with a feather if we traded Omer to Dallas. You don't upgrade a rival in your own division to that extent. To do so would be lunacy, IMO.
