I mean Brow's last 5 games he's avg 25.6 ppg, 2.2 bpg, 8.6 rpg, on .614% shooting. Not really "cooled" off, but he won't win MVP unless they are top 4-5 seed in the conference.

IIRC he had crazy #s the first 2 weeks or so in terms of blocks and rebounds but i could be wrong. but again i'm not sure why he's so high on the list if his team is sucking. Top 10 ? yes but certainly not in the top 5 unless their team starts getting better. on the other side Harden is a top 3 for sure and maybe the best in the league right now.

But hopefully Harden can be the Derrick Rose MVP that slipped in between Brons ones.

I Just think that the usual's are gonna start getting attention (KD , Lebron)
Lebron is is already prob like in 3rd -4th MVP place. He and the Cavs are playing better. By All star break they will prob be killing the east and #1 seed.

KD will start killing like usual and the thunder will look amazing. Not to mention Westbrook is at 24- 6 -5 48%- 33%(only 8 games tho). They prob end at the 4-5 seed. Curry will prob drop off , but will always be in the picture. Gasol will be out the convo completely soon.CP3/Blake and Ant Davis will continue to make noise also. Harden should stay in the top 3 all year. But his competition come voting time will be tough for him to take down. CP3/Blake and Davis will continue to make noise also.

I still think he deserves it as of now tho.

To be fair, Lee has DNP'd the entire season.

In the offseason, Harden said he thought he was the best basketball player in the world. Most of us were thinking, what about Durant and LeBron?

Right now, I wouldn't trade Harden for Durant and Westbrook or LeBron and Kyrie. He's that good. He's carrying this team like Olajuwon did those 2 years. The man has been touched by a basketball angel. Something happened, something woke him up, someone opened his eyes because he's seeing the court like Neo saw our world.

If he keeps this up, we'll be saying Michael who...

    lol

To be fair several players said the same thing but the only difference is Harden lets his action speak for him.

Harden is one of the rare players that come along in that he is the team. All that is needed from now on is to "reload". Just have to have the GM that is able to go out and "reload" and we have that in Morey. These next 10 years are going to be a possible Hall of Fame era.

Except unlike Rose, he'll actually deserve it, too. ;)

    http://bleacherreport.com/articles/...oking-mvp-like-while-carrying-houston-rockets

"His ability to get to the rim and get fouled might be the best in the NBA," wrote Christopher Dempsey of The Denver Post. "Harden scores from the 3-point line to the paint, puts immense pressure on opposing defenses and will be the reason for any big-time success the Rockets experience this season."

He leads the Rockets—and the entire league—in scoring at 26.4 points per game. He also paces Houston in distributing with 6.5 assists and in pilfering with 2.0 steals, and he ranks third on the glass with 6.3 rebounds and third in rejections with 1.1 blocks per game.

At this rate, Harden has launched himself toward a historically significant season. No player has ever averaged 26 points, six dimes, six boards, two thefts and one swat a night (h/t Bleacher Report's Kelly Scaletta).

Curry and Harden are 1 and 2 now in the MVP race.

But Westbrook has been the best individual performer so far this year after the Brow. Dude is playing absurd ball.

If you think about it do you think Curry could carry his team if half his players and bench players were injured.

No he couldn't and he has a lot more talent than Harden has had in this run with the many injuries. Davis has had more talent than Harden and fails to win.

That's why he's not in the MVP race.

But individually speaking, AD and WB are clearly the 2 best individual performers this season. Absurd absurd levels those 2 are playing.

I think it's funny how the consensus this year is that the MVP should be the best player on the team with the best record. Last year, it was the league scoring leader who put his squad on his back & carried them with their #2 guy out. Sounds a lot like somebody we know this year, but --

That scoring leader had a historic year. One for the ages.

No way Harden gets it unless the Rockets finish with the best record in either the league or the western conference. Not fair, but that's just how it is. The big picture is a deep playoff run. Harden getting MVP only proves useful in tormenting OK fans, but that doesn't interest me. What does interest me is seeing the Rockets get out of the 2nd round.

Only reason Curry is leading over Harden for the fact that the GSW have a better record. Otherwise, Harden should be leading since Howard and Jones have missed so many games and he has to put the team on his shoulders.

a FG% of 30s or low 40s will never win a player a mention on that list.
