You heard the podcast, the majority of Clutchfans posters, and thereby probably the majority of people around the world, think Lin is a big liability on defense and is not a good fit here like Bev is. It is what it is. Move on, it'll be better for your health.

I'm glad you showed your true colors. And quite the megalomaniac you are speaking for "the majority of people around the world" lmao!

Although you may find it shocking, "the majority of people around the world" think someone named daryl morey knows more about basketball than an anon who calls himself "raskol."

He’s the fifth-best pick and roll player in the league and 9th pick and roll in the game. Overall, really helped our offense, set up his teammates very well,” Morey said, defending Lin. ”On average, Jeremy had a very good defensive year,” Morey said, “(He’s) very good at distributing the ball, and one of the top players in blocked shots and steals. Overall, he had an extremely good year and we’re no where near the playoffs without Jeremy Lin.”

Lol. I think you misunderstood me. I don't agree with them. I think most of those guys are biased and that Lin is a great player and defender. I was just saying what the majority is thinking and that you shouldn't get too stressed over it. Clutch is also not the biggest fan of Lin's game as it pertains to fitting in with the Rockets, so I'm just telling you how people feel around here and to save your energy cuz they are not going to change their opinion.

I hear ya bro. I'm def. not here to change anyone's opinion, I can assure you of that. :)

It's clear the org is not high on lin.

It sucks that this kid's been busting his ass, only to realize that with every hole he plugs, his critics invent a new one. It's just getting stupid.

I agree. There's a long term fit here for a young PG who can bury it from deep. I don't think the luxury of having AB around is worth cutting Canaan. Not like teams were beating down AB's door. He'll be around.

I am pretty sure I don't represent the majority here at clutchfans... The red dot under my ID - they call me the mentally disabled Royce White.

Here's the deal. Chris Paul is one of the top 3 PG's in the NBA, arguably the very best in the game right now. If the Rockets could acquire him without giving up a #1 or a #2 option and didn't pursue it, Les would fire whoever ran his front office.

I don't think the Rox looked to trade Lin just to get rid of him. As the podcast states, they tried to trade Lin because Chris Paul's camp expressed interest once Dwight signed with Houston. Sure, it doesn't say much about their loyalty to their own players. But that's nothing new with the NBA or the Rox organization in particular - every player is and will always be simply a piece of asset.

Dude, your perception of him is so sky high you'll never be satisfied by what anyone has to say about him. Chill out and enjoy the ride.

I thought he was referring to the intro as well, but after listening I think he means the Texans comments.

I love love love Jeremy but it'll be malpractice if Morey didn't pursue CP3 if he showed interest. Having said that, I think CP3's camp was just using the Rockets to get what he wants from the Clippers.

Either that or it was an attempt to make the Rockets weaker by trading Jeremy;).

Absolutely. I actually thought the rockets had a decent chance of signing BOTH paul and howard. I was a bit surprised actually that this rumor just fizzled out in almost complete silence. I thought that howard and paul had planned all along on playing together.

Morey's actions don't bother me in the slightest. I know he'll do whatever it takes to put a championship squad together. What IS bothersome is mchale's inability or unwillingness to recognize that lin is bending over backwards to become EXACTLY the player the staff wants him to be and is plugging all of the real or apparent holes in short order. Despite this fact, the coaches refuse to acknowledge this hard work and instead prize beverley who has EVEN MORE flaws which are far more obvious and are far more difficult to correct.

Mchale is attempting to take the easy way out: instead of attempting to integrate two highly productive playmakers, he wants to 'settle' for a defensive specialist, since this requires far less thought and energy on his part. It's a shortcut, and it's easy, but it's not the best long term answer.

    Time will tell.

loved the pod as per usual, although can not believe Lance said Brooks played well in the playoffs last year when Lin was out, he was deplorable.... go back and watch the tape, all missed shots and bad decisions

also what's up with the absence of Bima guest appearances... poor guy must be distraught

and clutch whats the number to call in with a question :)

Did I miss the announcement that Lin is going to be buried on the bench and Bev is our new starter guaranteed 40 minutes a game?

Refuse to acknowledge the hard work? Taking the easy way out?

Jesus man, come back to reality.
