And your point??? Sure, Kwame is a huge disappointment . . . for a #1 overall pick.

But Kwame has developed into a good defensive big. He's actually become one of the best pick-and-roll defenders in the league.

Not bad for a former lotto bust.

Simple point: there has always been a team for a big guy who could fill the middle. It's taken time but Kwame has become OK, even if it's 'just ok'. Thabeet certainly has an opportunity to replicate Kwame.

Now a question: what would it take to get Camby from Portland? He has one year, $9m. He would seem an ideal stopgap for the season, and perhaps longer.

Got it. But would prefer injury prone Camby to the fractured use of 'asset'.

Where's this alleged light bulb, DD? Could Terrence Williams borrow it from time to time? Like maybe all the time? Perhaps we could put them both under the same lampshade. :-D-

Thanks for the article. More or less confirmed what I thought about FA in general.

Unfortunately, Thabeet's light bulb is one of them tiny little Christmas light things.

In that article DM mentions that DMo’s rebounding is much improved up to 8 – 9 a game while Scola only averaged around 6. This in itself is exciting to me. We already know the kid can pass and score but we were really worried about his ability to play defense in the post and rebound. Maybe we have ourselves a low post player for next season.

He won't play with the Rockets this season.

    He's staying overseas.

    Thanks for the clarification.

Just need to add that I checked DMo's stats and his rebounding numbers are much improved but it's not 8 - 9 a game its about 6 a game between the two different leagues. Over the last few games his numbers have been 9 or 10 though. His team is not doing very well though. Looks like they have only wone a couple of games out of 12 so far.

A growing number of execs starting to believe that Magic will indeed give strong consideration to doing Dwight deal before season starts

So is he either a Laker or Net before Christmas?

I am thinking we all pitch in for some GE long lasting bulbs and send them to the entire 2009 contingent.....

You know Courtney Lee was chillin with Howard for a while during the lock-out. They are the bestest of friendsies. Maybe......
