Felt like the NCAA tournament as exciting as that shot was. So much scrambling and the shot going down! I hope this is the turning point for us.

    No. No damn way.

This is not the regular season. Managing the clock and controling possessions in the final minute is everything.

Even if JLin had made that layup, there was TOO MUCH time let in the game.

It was a very, very bad decision, but yes, Troy bailed Jeremy and the Rockets out.

Was hoping for a podcast, but will definitely take this great article. And a big thanks to you, Clutch. You have been a horse by providing all this great extra playoff content. Can't imagine doing a podcast after a crushing loss, so the effort is extra-appreciated.

Today's young sports fans are spoiled! In my day we just had 1 minute segments on Sportscenter and trolly, ad-heavy sports talk radio!

As exciting as this series has been, I will gladly take some nice Rocket blowout wins.

Harden carries this team on his back, when lin starts to do the same, he'll get less heat from making mistakes.

Lol. Harden hasn't done it so far in this playoffs. And even if Lin did he would get scrutinized for every little mistake he does, as is the case now, even after he had the assist of the season.

Not been much of that going on in the playoffs - until there is, Harden will get the same heat as everyone else for his dumb mistakes.

I like the 6 shooter, hot hands, gunsmoke routine Daniels and Canaan do with each other. Looks like they've done that many many times together in the NBADL.
    Trey Daniels is the shiz!!

Seems like most people who just started watching basketball *cough* think it's a "good decision" to not burn clock and allow the team who's practically scoring on every possession a full shot clock to finish us off. Cuz our defense is that good we want the game to rest upon it.

Wrong! It was back to back dumb decisions, and we were fortunate Daniels made up for Lin's fear of getting picked off on the easy pass to Dwight, who was covered by defensive giant Damian Lillard. 2 very dumb mistakes by Lin, but we can all be thankful to Daniels for bailing him out. Harden also saved Jeremy's ass because without him, we'd be down 37 points, and Lin would've got roasted.

Also, Mchale made brilliant move in letting Daniels win the game! Go Rockets!!!

Brilliant comments! Superstar expectation on Lin and role player expectation on Harden! Put anyone on the court in the situation at that time, who can do better than Lin and Daniels on that play? We are just people sitting here watching the film replaying for thousand times! We have no problem to figure out the situation and draw up whatever play we want. They get millions for their jobs, but they are only human.

He's been better than Harden in the clutch this series. Just the facts sir.

Just goes to show that with Harden being our best player and how he has carried us many times in the past, we are willing to live and die with him.

We still do not trust Lin; thus the many criticisms, though both have been making mistakes in this series.

I do hope for the sake of our season, that we allow them to grow up a little. I think the coaches and players are willing to take the good along with the bad (hopefully much more good than bad). As McHale usually says, the only way to learn to play in the playoffs is to actually play during the playoffs.

Harden has to figure out how to adjust to the opposing team's defense when it's all focused on him. Lin has to figure out when to be aggressive, when not to be (this being his first real playoff experience). I think they're growing up bit by bit.

That shot of Harden calming down Lin speaks well of the growth in their attitude, their willingness to trust each other, and hopefully of ours as well. Like it or not, we need them both.

leading by 5 with 43 seconds left is better than leading by 3 with 30 seconds left, you can literally play a defense of stand off aldridge, protect the rim and the worst case, where he hits the open jumper, you are still in a better place. That layup was basically game if it goes in.

Clutch: Any word on whether rox will keep parsons next to harden after this series? Guy is just too slow, can't create or defend and being exposed. Has sign and trade written all over him ( or trade)

Great write up Clutch. It's no secret you have always preached Lin's shortcomings therefore it's nice to see you give credit to him when necessary. Unbiased and great writeup...much appreciated!

That pass to Daniels, probably the best 3 point shooter on the team, is a dumb mistake? Seriously, are you an idiot?
