You know, realistically, no team in the NBA can get even the first player right, unless you are OKC, Miami and I think this year, Indiana (George).

That's how much more dominant those guys are.

I don't think Harden or Howard even comes close.

We'll his 3rd player that was confirmed he wanted was D.will "$20mill until 2017" that's been coming off the bench for the nets. & costed them the game tonight on a turnover that p.pat stole then hit the game winner jumper. Morey was trying to build a heat team with him FAIL. Good thing nets didn't take MOREY's trade.

I like morey and he did great by getting Howard & harden but let's not try to make it like he's perfect and never made any bad moves.

Forget a third star. This organization can't even reach the full potential of the roster it currently has.

If you have two players that are supposed to be the best at their position, you can't bail them out of what is expected of them by stating they need a 3rd star.

Morey is one of the best GMs in the business but that doesn't mean he is a god, like many on here try to portray him as.

"Midrange shots are inefficient we shouldn't take them because Morey says so.."

"This team needs a 3rd star because Morey said so..."

"Coaches don't really matter because Morey said so..."

Its like a peanut gallery. Yes I get it, we are extremely fortunate to have him, but that doesn't mean he is immune from criticism. We hold him to such a high bar because he is that good.

Your statement is only true if time doesn't move. But alas it does, and things change. The same rumors that linked the Rockets to DWill also stated that Morey no longer wants him.

It's all because of this concept called "time."

    ^^This x 1,000,000.

No offence to the current coaching staff and I know people have been preaching patience.

This team needs a Phil Jackson, Pop or a Pat Riley type coach who has the swagger, credentials and nous to guide, manage and steer a very capable roster into a championship contender and eventually champions.

Honestly I think the jury is still out on how good of a job Morey has done so far. Harden and Howard have showed to be incredibly flawed players so far. Don't get me wrong, they're good players but not super star level players in my opinion.

Morey can talk about needing a third star but Harden and Howard need to improve greatly before a third star will make this team a championship contender.

I wonder if Morey will revisit the Deron Williams trade during the all-star break?

We don't need a third star, we need a real PG to run the team, Harden to play SG, a coach who is good at X and Os and some good bench players.

So basically everything. There's no point in getting another PG since we don't even let our best PG actually play PG. Hypothetically, even if we had Rondo or DWill, I'd bet things wouldn't be substantially different, especially if nothing else changed.

Actually, that isn't quite what Pop said. Here's the quote:

As Rockets forward Chandler Parsons has continued to improve in his three seasons in the NBA, he has been turning heads and making impressions.
One who has taken notice is Spurs coach Gregg Popovich. After the Spurs’ shootaround at the Toyota Center on Tuesday morning, Popovich sang Parsons’ praises.

“He has gotten better every year,” Popovich said. “He has gotten more confident. He really knows what he can do best and he does it consistently. He is a heck of a competitor. He loves to play the game. You look at him you know he is having fun. And he just competes his fanny off.”

In the two games the Spurs and Rockets played heading into Tuesday night’s contest, Parsons was key in the two Rockets’ wins.

He had 25 points and five assists on Nov. 30 and 21 points, six assists and six rebounds on Dec. 25.

“So he has gotten better and better and we have seen that progression in him and this year he is one of the better players in the league.” Popovich said.

Pretty sure parsons will show us tonight he's not good enough to be 3rd best player on a championship team

What kind of cherry picking bs is that? So he shows that he is 80% of the time and when he has a bad game he's not good enough?
