There's never been a question he could score the ball. He has more scoring ability than anybody on this team not named Harden or Lin. And yes, that's more scoring ability than TJones or DMo. Morris can flat out take his man. He can post up smalls and he can face up and burn bigs. He's an offensive mismatch for almost any defender except those in Lebron's class.

What I REALLY LIKED last night was how he battled Josh Smith defensively. Wished I could post some video on that but I don't know how to do the video thing. Morris really played solid D on Smith. So much so that I had to question why in the sam hill did McHale have Delfino in the game down the stretch defending against Smith? Sure, Delfino can face up at the 3 on him. But he wasn't hot. And Smith was mauling him defensively. Morris should have been in there closing in my opinion.

One thing that should be very clear to most of you by now is that Morris is superior to Parsons offensively. While I really like Parsons' game and I am convinced we need Parsons on this team to defend Durant, Kobe, Lebron, etc., there is no way that Parsons will ever be half as good as Morris offensively. Parsons plays a Kevin Martin style role offensively without being able to draw the fouls and be as efficient as Martin. Parsons looks for space. He's an opportunist offensively, profiting from overplays and defenders turning their heads. There's absolutely nothing wrong with that. But you still gotta have 3 guys that can go get their baskets and create mismatches and floor imbalances. Parsons can't do that. Morris can.

I said during the summer that if Morris got minutes he could one of the top 3 scorers on this team. That was before the Harden trade. I still think that is the case.

He has some 1-on-1 skills, but has to get consistent. He's young like the rest of them, and he will continue to improve. I'm afraid a lot off us are gonna get wrapped up in hoping to contend (fine), but it's not likely, and we need to realize that we aren't ready, so let's get these kids some experience. I'd really like to see Morris make it.

He did look pretty good out there last night. I just hope he can do it consistently. Getting 10+ pts a night from Morris would be gravy.

Same here, wish I can do that for Patterson. He is so undervalued around here but he was so dominant defensively for a stretch in the 3rd quarter. If I remember correctly, it might have been a stretch of 5 consecutive possessions where he was just amazing.

I was pleased with the much improved ball handling, which previously was non existent. This has given him the confidence to post up.
His shooting is better now. Hope he can become a consistent rotation player.

You know what I hate. People who "hate" a player that has basically played 2 games, and their reasoning is usually something about "knowing" that player X who has NEVER played a game is obviously better.

I am glad to see Morris do well. I really hope he is able to be a consistent force from the bench because we need one.

The last shot in the highlight was a thing of beauty...Only a handful of guys can make that shot over the length of Josh Smith. We need a reliable 3rd scorer so badly, hoping it could be Mook

He should stop shooting from the perimeter. He's a Power Forward he shouldn't act like he's a combo forward.

I can honestly say I was very impressed with what I saw from him. He looked way more confident that the 1st game and he was solid on D. Im actually seeing why McHale is putting Morris in instead of Jones. He's quick and he can definitely score the ball inside and outside, kinda like Melo lite. I very much agree with jopatmc. I can see him becoming 3rd option and leading scorer for the bench.
