I couldn't agree more. Phoenix is in that same position with Amare. But unlike Kerr, Morey has the nuts to pull the trigger. Even if a lot people don't agree with it (right away at least).

I think you guys are dreaming if you think SAC is going to take back Jeffries contract. They are unloading contracts and gaining Landry on the cheap. They won't take Jeffries for a 2012 first round pick. If they don't take Jeffries they have enough for 2 max free agents, a front line of Hawes, Landry, and Thomson. Tyreke Evans at SG. They have no reason to take on Jeffries for a pick 3 years out.

    What about this:
    Rockets get:
    (from Kings)
    Kenny Thomas
    Kevin Martin
    Hilton Armstrong
    (from Knicks)
    Jordan Hill
    Jared Jeffries

    Kings get:
    (from Rockets)
    Carl Landry
    Joey Dorsey
    Brian Cook
    (from Knicks)
    Larry Hughes

    Knicks get:
    (from Rockets)
    Tracy McGrady
    (from Kings)
    Sergio Rodriquez

    Salaries seem to work.

    Our lineup now:
    Brooks/Lowry
    Martin/Budinger
    Ariza/Battier
    Scola/Hill/Jeffries
    Hayes/Andersen/Armstrong

and next year we can replace Hayes with Yao, and maybe Hill ends up being pretty good, if not, we still get an incredible scorer in Martin.

    Thoughts?

I like Sergio better than Hill, and I especially like Sergio better than Hill + Jared Jeffries (blech).

Jordan Hill, you have great potential, and imma let you finish, but Carl landry had one of the highest potentials of all time! Of all time!

Taking on Jeffries without the picks is not worth it. If the Knicks want McGrady forget about Hill and including Jeffries. Just do it for expirings in Hughes + Duhon.
