Thank you Mac, I come from an era where you get your five and I get mine and we ball. So if we can't put together a lineup to ball against AI, Barnes, Green, Thompson, and Curry then we need to lose. If JSmoove, Beasley, Ariza, Harden, and Beverly or KJ can't win 6 minutes against them, we are going to lose badly. Period, forget illegal screens or whatever, let's just play some ball and go at them hard.

If the Rockets did that, they narrative would be that the Rockets quit and stopped even trying to make basketball plays and that's why they lost by 50 in every game. People would point and laugh on Twitter and then the Rockets would be forgotten as the second round started.

Warriors’ Draymond Green: ‘I don’t think I set illegal screens’

Draymond Green on everybody setting same screens: "They just don’t got the shooters we got. That ain’t my fault."

Draymond Green: "I mean, like I can’t shoot like Klay and Steph either. Am I supposed to cry about it?"

Andrew Bogut: Critics of Warriors’ screens are just trying to take away from success of Stephen Curry and the team

but you can't deny that GS is utilizing the rules very well, they will make the refs feel like the contact of the screen make them follow the defenders in the same direction while continuing slowing down the defenders to open up their shooters, that's why i think unless there is an official rule change, the GS will continue to get away with what they are doing, the officials will not suddenly call moving screens differently while GS have been doing this for more than 2 years.....

From all these videos, here's the trend:

Bogut is the the master of "back that ass up" screens.

    Green is Captain Tackle/Shove.

Both of them will grab arms/bear hug defenders.

A third grade girls church league coach would know better than to play small ball with GSW...

But between the illegal screens that GSW get away with and the fact that it is impossible to foul Harden in the playoffs it sure looks like the NBA would like to see GSW move on.

I say we go big... we're going home if that doesn't work anyway so go big and send some of them to the trainers table. I want them out of the playoffs asap.

They aren't using the rules well, they are outright breaking the rules and are getting away with it while no one else could get away with doing the exact same. I do agree that the officials aren't going to start calling illegal screens on Golden State, they let them get away with it for a reason, they want to prop them up for storyline reasons. If the refs abandon them, it'll be in the Conference finals and not before that.

When someone tries to lecture me about how great the Warriors are. All I say is that they’re CHEATERS!! The biggest cheaters in NBA history. They’re the Lance Armstrong of the NBA! Do you really think the refs don’t see the moving screens? Of course they see it, they’ve been TOLD to ignore it! The Warriors are the only team that’s allowed to play that way. There is a moving screen almost every possession, how can you not see that. But they sure have eyes for Dwight Howard. Draymond Green can bear hug somebody and get away with it, Draymond Green can throw a tantrum in the middle of the court. No Technical. But if someone runs into Howard and flops, it’s a foul on Howard! If Howard simply smiles and runs the other way, it’s a technical. The refs can’t miss a foul on Curry. If you breath on Curry, it’s a foul. If you look at Curry the wrong way, it’s a foul! But Harden gets hacked, no call. The NBA is propping up the Warriors, to get as much revenue out of the Bay Area market as they can. They’ve done the numbers, they know a good Warriors team means more $$$$$! I just wish the truth would come out! ESPN’s not gonna report on this. Harden not playing defense, they’ll show that video. Warriors cheating they’re ass off. Nope! It doesn’t fit the agenda! Curry can do no wrong, he’s the next MJ. Warriors are the greatest team ever! More like the greatest cheaters ever!! No salt. Only truth.

The first two videos of Bogut above that I posted have never been allowed in the NBA before. The defender isn't trying to push through him, nor knocked him backwards. They are trying to change direction and go around Bogut, but he backs up. *and* the NBA Officials reviewed it the next day to say it was a CNC (Correct No Call). The rule primarily discusses allowing the defender to change direction. Defender is allowed to go around the screen. It's like they convinced the refs that Bogus is legally moving, because of that one sentence. The rule is supposed to allow the screener to get knocked backwards, not backup for the purpose of letting Curry curl around him, then close the door to the defender by backing up as the defender tries to go over the pick to follow Curry.

I'll post all the strange CNCs and rightful INC the Refs declared in their reports, if there is interest.

It just blows my mind. I've got about 5 or so more of these NBA Officials Report vids. I've got one of Livingston not moving, but bending over so his butt sticks out, and it was a CNC.

I heard a clip from an interview with Harrison Barnes and they asked him how they will play if Steph can't play and he said, "We may have to use more gamesmanship in our screens".... that's as blatant as it can get when referring to their illegal screens

Warriors are the NBA's Patriots team, their MO is to try and get away with whatever is possible. Aside from the moving screens, Bogut and Green see how physical they can get.

As heyP's post show, the NBA has already determined that Moving backward and in the general direction of the screen (after contact) is LEGAL.

Whether that has always been the case I have no idea, but it is clearly LEGAL now according to the NBA. What the Rockets and other teams now must do is A. figure out how to better defend against those screens and to better utilize the method themselves.

The Rockets and others could continue to lobby the NBA to change their ruling but until then, they need to figure out how to take advantage of the rule.

The rule as written states that it is. The idea that all moving screens are illegal is a common misunderstanding. What's illegal is suddenly stepping in front of a player at the last moment such that they have no chance to avoid the collision (them choosing to collide doesn't make it illegal) or moving laterally with contact, to prevent them moving around you.

Actually they show that you can move in any direction and grab defenders while setting screens so long as you are on the Warriors. No one else can utilize the method because for literally everyone else, it's an automatic foul.

Of course, no one expects Dubs homers to admit what is clearly going on because it would diminish everything the team has done and they want to believe.
