Although we knew all this going into the series beforehand, I dont think we our the best suited to 'complain' in the public's eye. We are barely a team and really are broken; we show no chemistry, play no defense and simply cant compete with the likes of gs. Its sad to say about the hometown team but its true IMO. You better believe Pop would light the refs and NBA up postgame if this were to happen to them and it would grab the publics attention along with nbas. The Rockets of Houston? Not so much. Not this year at least.
The rockets have no right to complain, they won't be heard. Right now, as a team that doesn't even like each other, they are perceived as everything basketball shouldn't be.
The screen Bogut set on Harden is ridiculous. Upon initially setting the screen Bogut starts far inside of the 3pt line. At the end of the play Bogut is standing out of bounds.
Exactly. They continue to do that fake falling off balance with their butt out. Definitely can't have it both ways and it's honestly getting beyond ridiculous how they are letting this happen over and over again. The GSW are the darlings of the NBA right now and they are going to turn a blind eye to it. Yes all teams do it to some extent but this is just on another level. So many big shots at the end of the game have come on these types of screens to open up Curry.
It's a shame that the Mavs could not face the Warriors, at least then he would create a fuss about it. He'd even go as far as to say it was rigged.

Just like they might create subtle ways of getting away with the screens, maybe the opposing team should create a subtle way of countering it with running into the screens with their elbows raised to the head or knee to the groin of the opponent, making it look like a natural motion in which the other player ran into on the court. If I were coach, I would maybe run drills in which instills a way to make the opponent from getting into the naturally movement space with illegal screens during the game. Not dirty, just trying and get over illegal screens by naturally gravitating towards the opponent being guarded on the court.

Bottom line is that every team does this. My issues arise when it becomes a double standard and they are not called equally. If you are going to let them do it then you have to let the other teams do it.
Bickerstaff should have drawn a technical and added a podium to vent the frustration regarding this tactic. Instead he keeps his arms crossed and looks like a deer in the headlights.
And because their 3 point shooters wouldn't be getting open any other way a lot of the time. Set moving screens and create enough space for them to get 3's off and it's a game changer especially given the super fast release of someone like Curry. The Rockets should have done a lot of that when they had Kevin Martin, could have made those teams go farther.
Of course, with the Rockets not being the team the NBA is trying to prop up, those illegal screens would have been called so it wouldn't have worked.
Who cares why the NBA allows it, all you can do is send footage front office or plead your case to the referees on the court. If that does not work, have something up your sleeve, elbows out, and knees in natural fluid motion expecting the opponent the run into them and hurt themselves during the game.
