[ClutchFans] Houston Rockets Salary Cap Update: "Total Rebuild" Edition

One thing i've been curious about and can't seem to find an answer for.

Can the rockets work a deal where they take back Turkoglu's contract along with Richardson and Howard if they only give up Martin, Patterson, Morriss, 1 prospect (lets say lamb), picks and "filler".

By this I mean do we have enough non-guarenteed contracts and players "not in the Rockets plans going forward" to take back Turkoglu's hideous contract or would we have to add quality players to the package just to get the salary's high enough to make it work?

 

Why does it need to be addressed in the CBA? Morey already address this when he signs 2nd Rounders and unsigned free agents.

Great write up again Bima. Love the part about how much cap room we have if Martin stays with the team and then we get all that cap space! It makes Morey's tweets about letting the young guys grow that much better: we're playing hardball with Orlando and we already have a plan B in place with all that cap space coming!

I don't think it was a loophole. The so called "poison pill" was one of the few things small market teams fought for to be approved in the last CBA. At least that's what i read in some article.

 

What better place to scout all that global talent! I mean this is going to be better than Prokom v. CSKA Moscow (random Euro teams, I dunno the leagues at all).

And the talent level of some of these countries is all NBA already, so not only abilities, but abilities against quality competition I say.
