ClutchFans Game Thread: Warriors @ Rockets 5/4/2019 (Playoffs Round 2, Game 3)

I think most coaches are overrated. How many titles have the Spurs won since Duncan? Belichik without Brady? Has any coach gone on to win a title after their main superstar left them?

 

Agree with Mad Max but just heard coach say they are going to try to involve Shumpert more in the gameplan tonight.

 

For the love of God... Why?!?

 

They said they need to mix things up...Green will see more time to.

At least Green can shoot, but they both suck horribly on defense. If Shump plays significant minutes you can hand the series to GS.

 

Just a couple of more hours. I hope I can survive this. Of possible far more importance (OK, almost as much importance), we have to win!

I think Beard explodes for at least 45 tonight. He’s due. Clint is also due. 15 rebounds sounds about right. 20 points 10 assists from CP. Another 20 from EG. Maybe even a little 15 - 20 points from Green/House. I’m thinking this is gonna be a great night.

There are a few points in the game where GS has had only Curry on the floor (Durant and Thompson on the bench). Only in those short moments would I ever put Green in. I love GG, but against GS he's almost unplayable. Way too many missed assignments, dumb fouls, but I don't mind him playing if Thompson/Durant are sitting for their usual few minutes.

I hope we see the same fight in Rivers, loved watching him in game 2.

 

There is no argument that Shumpert has been horrible on offense.
But, he has been one of our best defenders in the series.

GSW is shooting 33.3% against Shumpert thru 2 games in this postseason.
GSW shot 42.3% against Shumpert in 3 regular season games this year.

I don't mind spot minutes where he doesn't touch the ball on offense unless he's wide open for 3.

He hasn't played well but the main problem is that neither has anyone else.

 

Agreed. But he shot the ball 4 times (all misses) in 5 minutes of play. It was stupid. If he’s gonna shoot it every time he touches the ball, I’d prefer he not play. At least with Gerald Green, you know there’s a chance he’s gonna go off and hit three straight 3s. I don’t get that vibe from Shumpert.

 

Whatever happens, for god sakes be aggressive tonight, both ends.
