Hooefully Beasly doesn't smoke too much today.

 

Predict 7 point loss. Speights and Barbosa beat their averages handily, and Warriors find a new defensive gear on the road.

If Iguodola keeps shooting lights out we lose. He was the big difference for them. Looking like Steph out there.

 

I just want to see home changes by JBB. If it were me this is what I would do:

PG: bev- curry
SG: Harden- Barnes
SF: KJ- Klay
PF: Ariza- green
C: either dmo or Beas- Bogut. I say dmo bc of size but I say Beas bc he's a better midrange shooter than dmo.

This way we pull Bogut out and open up the paint more for harden to drive. Then if they crash on harden(which they will) we have open shooters on the perimeter that hopefully show up. I also say this bc we all know Bogut owns Howard, but maybe and hopefully Festus doesn't. That way we can use Howard against Festus and run a PnR with Howard and terry.

side note: pleaseeeeee stop matching up terry with barbosa (too fast) and Bev on Livingston (too tall) and Howard on speights (pulls Howard out)...just makes no sense at all.

We need some changes ASAP.

 

Oh that was from Barkley and Co. being cute on TNT during Game 2. When you factor in just how pathetic the Rocket were playing, they did have a legitimate point...

 

Why? So he can quit on the Rockets AGAIN? That spot has already been filled by Howard.

 

Jbb needs a major shake up in the line uo:grin:. No but seriously!

My opinion is we won't win unless:

1.) Harden drops 40+ points.
2.) Or, there is consistent, distributed scoring in double digits by starters and at least two bench players.
3.) Or, another role player besides Harden and Howard drops 20+ points (where Harden and Howard get ~ 20+ points).

And, FG% needs to be >= 44%.

That's not to discount the defense. But, the Rockets won't win if they can't generate the offensive output. GS is going to get theirs. Playing better defense will help but, if we're not scoring better, then it probably won't matter anyway.

 

Rockets will fight for a while, get behind and then quit.

If the Rockets can't beat a Curry-less Warriors team at home, the national mockery will intensify. That'll be great.

Most likely, if Curry sits, the Rockets will win. But I can't shake the feeling that they'll find a way to blow this.

That's a good point. They need to play like their livelihoods and lives depend on it. But, they're way past playing for a job spot for future consideration. We're way past that point. Their evaluations are done and most of em have got to GTFO!
