ClutchFans Game Thread: Warriors @ Rockets @ 1/20/2017

I predict a loss.

If the Rockets do win this one(especially if it's by 5 or more points), I'll start to believe they're more than a 2nd round team.

 

Here we go...

Considering how the Warriors dismantled the Cavs and the Thunder, they are playing good ball and the Rockets may be next on the hit list. Regardless...If the Rockets shoot well they really can keep up with them. Expect this to be a close game at home... Go Rockets!

 

This game will have the feel of a playoff game and the Rockets will be ready. Go Rockets!! Can't wait for this game!!

A part of me wishes they never recorded Harden saying "they aint even that good"

 

Warriors gonna want revenge for their home loss so I can see them coming out blazing. We can't have any scoring droughts or we might get down too much to come back, however Warriors have a turnover problem and we need to capitalize on it and of course shoot well like we did against the Bucks.

 

Hoping for another BORING game

i think GS would want vengeance for the last game.

 

The Cavs were, according to their people, were at the end of a difficult road trip and Korver still hasn't even been to Cleveland yet since joining the team.

The Thunder match up poorly with the Warriors with Adams out and they began chucking the other night (especially WB) when they got into a quick deficit.


We match up much better with the Warriors especially when our shooters are on and Capela is working hard at both ends of the floor. I also like how Harrell matches up against their 2nd team front court in West and McGee. Guarding the Greek Freek also gave Ariza some extra practice at what matching up with Durant will be like. Ideally Bev matches minutes with Curry, and there might actually be some use for Brewer if he can stick on Livingston for those elbow jumpers.

Hopefully Harden goes at the rim early and can get some fouls on Green, Klay, and Durant. This is a game where Anderson spacing will be huge. Getting Green and Durant out of the paint to stick on Ryno and Ariza will allow Harden and Capela to get 2 on 1 against Zaza, a very favorable match up for us.

 

I would be a believer if we had come into this game with our December momentum.

However, with Gordon, Capela, and Anderson all in various states of recovery, I am expecting a loss. I would sure love to be wrong.

 

If Memphis beat them twice so can we
