ClutchFans Game Thread: Timberwolves @ Rockets 3/17/2019

Morey was on Zach Lowe's podcast recently during the Sloan conference and mentioned that is something they learned is Capela seemed to start the season a bit slow. Not sure why. Not sure it was depressed with FA. Just perhaps he needed time to ramp up. Clearly the Rockets noticed it.

 

Tucker shot a sizzling .467 3PT% last year's postseason (35-75). He shot great every round unlike Ariza who was beyond bad after the First. But Ariza was playing big minutes all season just like PJ who has also experienced % issues this year. Really hoping he's rested enough for the playoffs.

 

Rest seems to be key. We've seen PJ turn into 10% of himself from just being tired, and we're just in reg season.

Be it Ariza or PJ, the defensive intensity was key for me. The hitting 3s part of their game was icing and cherry on top. Can't do it with little rest, like you say.

Sucks we don't have an extra guy around to fill that versatile defensive role to take that pressure off the whole team. Now we're forced to put that pressure on PJ, and hoping Shump pans out.

I saw harden catch and shoot twice off CP3 passes! There is a god! ( or a coach in his hear)

 

One of the most underrated comments.

I thought, we all thought, we'd see a lot of this when we traded for CP last season. I was always surprised to see them seemingly avoid each other.

 

It’s werid because CP does it too. It’s like it has happen so infrequently to them in their careers than they aren’t comfortable just catching and shooting.
