Westbrook and the Thunder rely on isolation plays to get points. I don't think Harden played off the ball at all when he was on the Thunder. Lke we've seen in this playoffs, its pretty obvious that the Brooks is not a very good coach and relies on sheer talent alone to get by. We cant do the same because we dont have our own Kevin Durant (even if we do get Paul)

He got the numbers, he did well in that regard. That does not mean he is free from criticism. Outside of game 5, he was more bad Harden than good Harden.

Which is why I am not opposed to bringing an elite pg, a la Chris Paul into the fold to free Harden from complete ball handling responsibility and all the key decision making during all critical junctures of the game. Harden needs help in that regard, I am not comfortable when he is always the focal point of our offense.

Yes, you could turn down Garcia's option (actually must at $6m a year), but then he is a free agent and you must compete for him with every other team. Can't just expect to resign him cheap.

I don't think a lot of teams will be after him. He sat on Sac's bench most of the season. He's similar to Delfino and look how we got him last year.

$6 mill is starter money, you don't pay a bench player that kind of money unless his name is Manu Ginibili or Ray Allen.

If Garcia only got a few minutes in the playoffs, Morey can sign him for cheap. But now other teams have gotten a look at him, I'm sure there will be a bidding war for the guy who defended Durant and hit a ton of 3's. He might not come back.

I'd prefer going after a veteran SF like Mike Dunleavy Jr. Not only does he shoot the 3 ball well, he's also really good at cutting to the basket and passing the ball.

I can show u a lot of players that came off the bench getting 6 or better.

    Agreed on your 2nd take.

Teams will be going after Mike hard as well. He will get what you say is starters money.

At least we were part of the most exciting series in the 1st round. All eyes were on Houston. Especially after Westbrooks injury.

Sure there were times Harden & Westbrook were at the court at the same time, but Harden was primarily coming off the bench. There is a reason Harden was a 6th man in OKC. If he had been starting, he and Westbrook would be competing for usage as primary ball handlers. May be that is the hidden reason OKC management let him go to get KM who is a scorer but not ball dominant. Can't see CP3 sharing court with Harden both as starters and be happy. May be one of them sit when the other is on the court. But how realistic is that for their ego?
