ESPN using the outdated PER rating to make sure Westbrook is "ranked" above Harden on their MVP showdown preview.

Start Dekker, he hasn't had a 30 point game in awhile.

I'm frankly surprised D'Antoni hasn't given him another shot in the starting lineup when Anderson is out. Sure, he's been struggling with his jumper, but it's not exactly like Gordon is shooting lights out in this calendar year.

Rockets are 7 point favorites today? Man...that's too high. All 3 matchups so far have been within one possession.

True, but we've clearly been the better team through 3 quarters in all 3 games so far. We've been in control then just inexplicably collapse in the 4th. We all of the sudden turn into a completely different team. We're due for a game where we just beat their ass from the opening tip. Russ dropped 49 points and had a career high 8 3 pointers in the last game and we were still up by 18 midway thru the 3rd.

OKC fans always say Roberson sucks, but he's the only reason why I fear going against OKC, because he defends Harden so well. Having an elite perimeter defender like that is a great asset these days, I wish we had a player like that.

Oh btw, do people still think Westbrook is a poor 3PT shooter? He's improved his shooting this season, don't let WB go off on us on 3s like the last game. It was evident that we dared him to shoot 3s by not defending him tight, and we got burned.

Rockets need to wear their black jerseys today...there's gonna be a funeral for Westbrook after Harden kills his MVP chances

he's elite defensively, but damn does he suck on offense...it's 4 on 5 on the offensive end when he's in the game

Yeah, but his value on defense alone is enough reason to keep him in the game. OKC is a top 10 defensive team despite Westbrook playing worst defense of his career. Roberson is a huge part of that success, because a lot of times he makes up for WB's defensive lapses. He's basically a slight downgrade version of Tony Allen few years ago, when Tony was even a worse offensive player. Nobody suggested Tony Allen was worthless back then.

I agree with u. I'd say that Roberson is even worse than Allen on offense tho, he's that bad. Roberson even air balls free throws. It's crazy to me just how bad he is on the offensive end. His jumper is a joke and he can't do anything off the dribble.

Roberson is slightly worse on both ends than Tony Allen, but if Allen can start for top 4 or top 5 team in the West (Memphis few years ago), then Roberson starting for top 6 to top 7 team shouldn't be an issue.

Harden's teammates better step up and make shots. Worried about the OKC bigs, Adams, Kanter, Taj. Really gonna need Capela, Nene, Dekker to play big.

With Anderson out, worried about the extended minutes Ariza and Gordon will play and if that has a trickle down effect on their shots. They need to make the shots Harden feeds them.

Hot Take media will be all over this game as it relates to the MVP. OKC understands the importance, hope Rockets teammates do to. Will be big for Harden.

It's triple doubles and PER now as to why WB is MVP.

Idiots will always find one stupid metric to claim why WB deserves MVP. If not PER, they would look at RPM, RAPM, DPRM, +/-, PRON, XXX or any BS metric to justify this crap.

Whichever metric Harden is leading is in largely irrelevant
