ClutchFans Game Thread: Thunder @ Rockets 2/9/2019

Tough loss blowing a big lead, and having Faried in on the most important defensive possession is probably not most optimal. But the biggest take away from this game for me was that Chris Paul looked physically as spry as he has all year.

Of all the injuries and lineup changes etc, the biggest reason why the Rockets aren't as good as last year has been the decline of CP3's production. If that is a permanent decline, then the Rockets are in big trouble especially given his salary. But if it was due to injury, and he's getting over it and getting back to the CP3 of last year, then that is more important for this franchise than any trade they could have made. And way more important than a win or loss in the middle of February.

 

No but they can play the hot hand and hustle n bustle guys.....

 

3rd qtr was typical harden when we get big leads...he gets very relaxed specially on defensive end.... we have to break that mentality

 

I reviewed the 3rd quarter, MDA called no more than 1 timeout....

We lose 22pts lead in a quarter, and *** MDA only called 1 timeout?

How many games we lose becoz of our dumb coach???

Shump looking like Ennis 2.0 is very concerning for me. Hopefully it doesn’t take Shumpert too long to figure out that he has to let it fly.

 

But did you see Chris Paul move this monster? Chris must be a pretty strong guy too.

 

Expensive Ennis.
He is an average player in an average team. I’d sit him in the bench.

 

These little things make a huge difference really. Also late game coaching has to be better. Can NOT give westbrook a free layup late like that...sag off him make him shoot it. Know who you are guarding please. These little things add up especially in the playoffs, we have to be better in the playoffs.
I think if healthy we will be the 2nd best team in the west going in the playoffs but we have to clean up on these little things

CP0 and his declining defense was exposed by Schroeder in the third and fourth quarters and was missing in the crunch time

 

Pats and Red Sox both won championships this year. I don't think Boston fans are suffering.

 

Am I the only one who would rather have CP3 over Westbrook 100x out of 100?

 

This is the biggest concern for all of us. Harden's health. I hope it's just minor.

 

Lol I saw harden look up at the score at halftime as he was walking to the lockers, right there I knew he thought “whew time to chill”

 

It’s not happening. We’re 50 games in. The team is what it is and they aren’t changing.

 

I mean dont hold your breath hes never been considered a good player

Not to mention we gave up 2 picks for him

 

DENVER is not getting the 1. Golden state will win that easily. So slip down to 6 I say. A certain team I know is the only team in history to win it all from the 6th seed.

 

It seems that whoever makes big money needs to play both offense and defense.

 

6 seed has no homecourt adv in every round.
