Patrick Patterson played his butt off last night and was the best performing big we had. He was sensational on the defensive end and was very, very good on the offensive end. He played both ends. Let's see if he continues tonight. It's time to move Scola and give PPat the job.
Nice post. If there is one thing we've seen during our little adventure with Terrence Williams, it's that our offense, Adelman's or McHale's, grinds to a halt (in my opinion) when Williams has the ball... and he always desperately wants the ball. Yet both coaches, one a future Hall of Famer as one of the winningest coaches in NBA history, the other a Hall of Fame player with multiple rings to show for his efforts (jury still out on his coaching career, but he knows basketball), found good reasons to park Williams on the pine. All those who whine and complain about TW not playing should ponder that tidbit. The odds of all this being "the coach's fault" are slim to none. I'd bet on none.
actually, you keep both and feature a two-headed best ala Scolandry. As far as playing time goes, just go with the guy who is playing better that particular game at the end. Scola + Pat = $10mil for a quality PF rotation. Can't complain about that.
