    Is no one concerned that McHale and his staff seem to be unfamiliar with modern NBA officiating? I seem to recall that Bull stated in the broadcast that the coaching staff was making the handcheck central to their defensive strategies in practice, and it led to a ton of ticky-tack fouls tonight. That just isn't going to fly in the modern NBA; you make any contact on a driving offensive player and it's a foul, it's not like back when McHale was coaching/playing. The fact that he seemingly didn't know this isn't a particularly good harbinger of future success and tactical precision...

    I don't know why, but I wanna see more Thabeet footage. He seemed so active on both ends. I'm... I'm so proud, he's all growed up.

    It sounds like he is using the Jazz/Sloan "They will get used to how you play, and allow you to get away with more physicality" strategy. Eventually, NBA coaches/commentators will say "You can't call everything. They have a reputation of being a physical team. Let them play."

    As for the high foul count in preseason, it's not anything new. It happens every preseason to every team. When the regular season starts, it goes back to regular ref calls.

    Didn't get to see the game, but by the boxscore, it was a good game for Hill & Williams. Johnny Flynn also managed 5 rebounds and 4 assists in only 13 minutes.

    It wouldnt surprise me to find out the Rockets know/knew. They are familiar with what goes on here so there is little chance they were ignorant of the availability of the videos.

    The fact that they never came down on us tells me that they didnt mind too much, but even then...with streaming being the preferred way these days I just didnt get enough people downloading which effects the speed of the swarm and is detrimental to the downloading experience.

    I apologize to the folks who were still using it, it just isnt sustainable any longer.
