Not well, he made one great assist and played some okay defense but just didn't have much of an impact at all. If he had played Splitter or Diaw the whole time, he would've been demolished probably.
That's just it tho, Cannan is part of our bench, and he has played fantastic, surprisingly, on both ends. It gives us solid play at the 1, 2, 3 and 4, as Kostas is playing the 3/4. That only leaves 12-14 minutes as a backup 5, which right now is all DMo needs to play. But get one thing straight, when both he and Kostas are on the floor, the ball movement is superb.
Canaan, Terry, and Papa have done well as part of the rotation with Harden and/or Howard on the floor while the rest like Daniels, Garcia, and even Capela are mostly just getting late game garbage time with each other, which isn't going to be very productive. D-Mo on the other hand is worrisome. 17.5 MPG and he has the stats of a ghost.
Looking at the long term, the playoff race in the West is going to be really close, beating the Spurs gives us an extra win for a head-to-head tiebreaker against them and an extra win against a division rival. So, yeah, I'll take a win anyway we can get it.
this is sick... <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/44vt61UWELQ" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
The last time I checked, the finals was the only time the final's mvp had that kind of scoring output and average 13 points last season.
It was pretty predictable that the Spurs would sit some players on the 2nd night of a back to back. I consider it a bonus any time the NBA schedules a game like that for the Spurs. And it's only pointless if you don't care about seeding and home court advantage. Over the wear and tear of 82 games, I'll take any wins that we can get even if they're a gift from the Spurs. We'll need them when injuries start showing up in mid-season.
If the Rockets continue to hustle on defense like they did last night, they will be a tough out every night. I was uber impressed. I haven't seen defense like that since McHale has been here. They visibly frustrated Tony Parker and Lenard.
The Rockets also were without two starters, and that is a big deal for a team without much depth. Also, the Spurs have beaten with that same line up. A win is a win, and the Rockets did what they were supposed to do.
