that's an awesome post game conference by JVG

"i don't want to hear guys complaining about not getting time."

"i want to see proof that the guys are improving"

"i'm not going to go away from my core group that played good basketball for 3 quarters"

sounds like he was talking directly to VSPAN.

That was an amazing shot! He was at least 35 feet out. Nice to see the Nets win a game decided by 1 point. :p

And the Rockets are now tied with Utah for the 4th seed. Plus Denver lost at home to the Bobcats, so they fall further back.

"I thought we played with a good energy level and a good intensity level...through the first three quarters."

Direct quote. He complemented the regular rotation before trashing the fourth quarter unit.

Yes, but percentage-wise, we are #4 behind Phoenix, Dallas, and San Antonio (.636 to Utah's .600).

Man, we really should be proud of our team doing this without Yao. After Dirk and Nash, T-Mac should be #3 in the MVP voting. And dare I say, considering the support that Nash and Dirk have had (no major injuries except for Josh Howard for a handful of games), I think one could make a non-homerish, justifiable case that McGrady is the true MVP of the league.

Yes by saying Vspan looked more comfortable I meant he was willing to do more and be more assertive... I don know why you are arguing with me, bugger off!

Its true. Without T-Mac we are terrible. With him we are amazing. I don't think anyone on any team has that much power over whether their team wins or loses on any given night, not even Nash.

Yeah well I didn't see the article about Lucas talking about how he was the McGrady of the NBDL and was going to go back if he didn't get to play.

Can you link me to it? I can't find it.

Well, he beat down on V-Span, but if there is any justice at all in this world, when his head clears, the beat down will go to lucas. I mean, 1-7 shooting, 3 PF, 0 RBs? At least V-Span pulled in 2 rbs and tried to pass the ball.

I think he was a little too hard on the team after the Denver game, but he's spot-on here. The regulars played great and the subs stunk way beyond how they should have. Lucas and V-Span, in particular, need to be put on injured reserve or shipped out. I think Chucky Atkins would be an excellent pick-up for a backup point.

V-Span is like the Desmond Howard of the NBA. One great spotlight game and he's the king, right? Whatever.

I gotta believe we're going to see a backup PG brought in via trade. Lucas is pretty pathetic, and despite his "potential" Spanoulis isn't going to get the job done this year.

man, that case would be tough to back up...but i agree, since tmac is my favorite player, that he is making a strong case for MVP. this is awesome, first yao plays like an MVP, then t-mac does...man, i can't wait till they're healthy together. this team has been amazing to watch this year, refusing to buckle when confronted with the injury bug.

Van Grumpy in typical form. Yes, the 4th quarter was a pretty bad whipping but the overall game was great.

hey guys don't be so hard on the guy about his comments. you got to realize may ppl and media in Greece expected him to light it up here and prob kept asking him why he is not playing. he couldn't come out and say "oh it's cause i'm ****". he just tried to explain the situation he is in and i think he could have done a lot better job with it, but he is young and Greek media have a big tendency to blow things right out of propotion.
