    I still can't believe it.

    159 in regulation?
And the Wizards are like "We scored 158 and lost?"
    :D

here click on the video i set the timer right before capela hits the midrange preceded by beautiful action by russ

ps also scroll to the 1:30 where pj fakes the 3 then drives to the hoop with a beautifull finish after double clutching(or something) to avoid being blocked

Last night's win was exciting, but you can't win in the postseason playing defense that way. It is a huge mistake to think that all teams have a great night in percentages of shots against us, the real problem is that Houston does not play defense, our players do not even make an effort on the defensive side of the court.
If we do not make the necessary adjustments in that aspect it will not be possible to advance far in the playoffs.

The best defense is a great offense. :D

The only reason it won't work in playoffs is bc the BS NBA calls playoffs differently than regular season games.
This is total BS bc a game is a game is a game is a game

Having said that, yes we need to improve defensively and need to focus on what it takes to actually win in the playoffs- player-wise and coaching.

I didn't read through the whole thread but, surely, this is the most points we've ever scored in regulation in a regular season game...correct?

Glory...Hallelujah. We went into a war zone...AND WE WON! How could we have foreseen this craziness in advance?

He went from playing a dangerous game to getting a good contract and earning a starting spot.

I think both are true: switching as a mechanism to not have Harden chase down defenders; and switching being used against him to isolate him with the opposing team's better offensive players. My take is that the former comes first and smarter teams learn to take advantage of that in the latter.

Switching is our default scheme and at some point as a leader he had to find a niche as a defender and he found that against the post over the last couple years. But it's been my assumption this whole time that switching was solely because our best player can't / shouldn't try to chase down GSW's shooters.

TBH I'm fine with the switching as a default scheme, but there was a point when we found a lot of success when we switched gears to playing on-man in the 4th in close games.
