Never been a fan of McHale and it has absolute zero to do with Lin. I just do not see him being effective for the Rockets in the long run and come playoff time for reasons I have laid out repeatedly on the fire McHale thread I started way back.

TJones is serviceable and has a bright future. If there is an upgrade, I'm all for it

PB is the best fit with our current starters at PG. Again, neither him nor Lin are sustainable at the PG position in the long run. That is the main problem IMO. I'm sure Morey would upgrade the PG position given a chance.

Lin played very well tonight. Got to give credit where credit is due. Got to ask though, what the hell happened to Dwight in the 4th. It's like he just lost a bunch of marbles at once.

The guy said that anyone who is a rockets fan but not a Lin fan should not post, try to get your facts straight before taking aim at Clutch.

DH got to control his emotion though. I am glad that he finally calmed down and redeemed himself, at least defensively.

When they showed that tackle in slow-mo.... man, Lin could have been really seriously hurt there.

McHale keeping calm after the lead was lost was key. The players regrouped and pulled it out. You never want to blow a 20+

Lin got assaulted a few times this game. Two by gortat. and Two by Ariza. it's tough in this league if your last name is Lin.

When you are tired of players making the same mistakes again and again, I guess sometimes the best way is to be calm and let players figure it out themselves. PJ is a master of this.

Spiegeleisen must be a LOH for he has been on my ignore list for quite some time. He should have a lot of hate post for me to put him on the list.

I actually praise Coach McHale's calm demeanor in the 4th quarter. If the coach is panic, then what the players would be? Basketball is such a rhythm sport. Team would get on a run. The challenge is how to stop the other team's run.

someone forgot the sarcasm this evening. Lin really did get assaulted tonight. NOt on purpose, but the wizards were aggressive with Lin all night. that shows that the WIzards are very Aware of the threat of Lin doing dameage, which is called Respect

    Nice Win

This board seems dominated by Lin talk. He was very good tonight. He held off Wall for most of the game and turned him into an inefficient player. Wall got a lot of fastbreak baskets and assists due to turnovers by other Rockets players. Also, during the last 2 minutes, Lin had 3 pts and 1 ast and Wall missed all of his shots and had no FT attempts. It was the pivotal matchup of the game, and Lin's performance gave the Rockets the opportunity to win it.

Looking at the game as a whole, we were only 2 point favorites and won by 7.

    Silver lining.
