I hate to bring this up, since it seems like it comes up all the time, but I re-imaged my PC about a week ago. PPLive was working on it before. However, this time, it's not working. I just installed it, and on nearly ever channel I click on it pops up a box that says "Please check your network connection."

Can anyone tell me what might be wrong, and can anyone confirm that it actually IS showing on CCTV-5 right now?

    thanks!

Probably because we hadn't seen "good" basketball since 1997.

what the hell is wrong with Yao??

I'm really beginning to wonder if he is just dumb at this point...at some point you gotta learn to pick your spots. With that, does anyone remember why fouls were not even an issue for him in his first season? What has changed so drastically..it certainly hasn't been his minutes.

Not only does Juwon Howard suck at rebounding, he battles his own teams for defensive rebounds. This is the second time he has battled for defensive rebound with his own teammate which resulted in out of bounds. GRRRR

Not dumb... just too slow on the court. Yao is very much a rhythm player... when he's in a good rhytm, ALL aspects of his game improve... his rebounding, his energy level, his shooting, his IQ, his FT shooting.

When he's in a rut, it all falls apart. Normally, the great players can say "Hey... if I'm not shooting well, at least I'll try to rebound more, or make better passes"... but with Yao, if everything is not going right... nothing is going right.

Rules changed. And Rudy didn't require Yao to come out chasing point guards.

Why is it that we keep having bad starts and why is the effort/energy level always disappointing at the beginning of games?

IMO, our two new acquisitions in the starting lineup are just soft, soft players, which was the main reason why I wanted a guy like Sprewel or something else who could fire up these guys a bit.

Meanwhile, we are missing point-blank layups (DA and Howard now)

I think you just answered your own question.

No energy, no effort, no wins.

then VG needs to learn to play to his player's strengths AND weaknesses. You wouldn't ask Shaq or Kareem to chase around guards or even really leave the paint at all..so you shouldn't ask Yao, who is a lot taller than both and not as fleet of foot. If he insists then trade Yao for someone who fits your vision...bring in Tyson Chandler and your boy Kirk Henrich.

Usually it's not a good sign to have a bunch of FTs in 1st half. Refs will give those FTs back to the other team in later on.
