I think a lot of you are overlooking something. This season, the Suns have two players that have historically given Yao a world of trouble.

Boris Diaw's nickname may as well be "Yao kryptonite."
Briant Grant has always given Yao fits since he first came into the league.

They'll be fronting him all night long. In order for us to be successful, Alston will have to show us some of his lob-passing skills. If he can get the ball over the defender to Yao and Tracy's back is loose, we'll have a great chance of winning.

Yao had some pretty good games against Grant in the past. Not sure about Diaw. The sample size is too small to make a general statement.

Also remember that Tracy and Alston did not play against the Suns last time and our best perimeter player (at that time) was a rookie. Under the current rules adopted by NBA, no post players can be effective when sandwiched 95% of the time, especially when teams have no weapons to punish these kind of defense at all.

Rockets win in a blowout as Yao and McGrady go off for 40 and 65, respectively.

    120-105

What, no love for the zombie Rockets skeletons?

This is gonna be a big test for the Rockets. We're going to see if we've really turned a corner or not. Beating the Suns in Phoenix is always tough, but we've been on a small roll. If they front Yao effectively, we've gotta get the pick and roll working. Looking forward to seeing Juwon hit a bunch of open shots from that elbow. The Rockets are a low-turnover team and are pretty good against the fast break, so we've got a chance.

Yao was doubled teamed without the ball last time. Shawn Marion totally disrespected Ryan Bowen's jump shot and just sagged into the paint on Yao. I remember Marion turning to coach D'Antoni and asking if he should continue doing this, after Bowen made two shots in a row. D'Antoni did not want Marion guarding Bowen, he wanted him to help on Yao.

Plus, Yao looks so much faster and mobile with a completely healed toe. And the starting small forward will be McGrady instead of Bowen.

Rafer Alston is the key to this game. When Rafer is on the floor, Yao will completely dominate because of all the dribble penetration and the great entry passes. We will have trouble when he is sitting on the bench!

TMac has to score 30+ points tonight. Otherwise, we cannot outgun them.

When is Amare coming back? I hope not tonight.

Earilier in the year, I would have crossed this game off as even a possible, but the Clippers game gave us "hope." If the Rockets play like that again, they can beat anybody, anywhere.
