first few pages... Rockets with Russ can beat these spurs who aren't a playoff team and aren't good. The rockets don't look at the standings and plan to win every game. They don't tank for seedings when they get blown out.....Rockets meant to do this. This was the plan all along just classic cf's stuff lol
imo part of it is battling bigs down low as you mentioned but these guys have been shooting poorly since the start of the re-start, seems like they're just in slumps too and westbrook clearly does not look the same w/ regard to speed and especially hops maybe we still get by okc anyways b/c harden is still harden. but by the 2nd round those 3 guys need to be back to normal. plus gordon!!!
That was the most boring game yet since the Rockets went to the Bubble. I hate to confess this, but I fell asleep in the second half and woke up to watch the last 1:30 minutes left in the 4th. From the score, I don't think I missed much.
Russ will be better once James comes back . I’m not to worried about Russell as the defensive schemes will focus on a James and that will make his life easier with James next to him in the playoffs. That’s the Harden effect. Overall no one got injured and we move on to the Pacers.
If the Rockets wanted this game, Harden would have played... plus, let’s just say the effort from Tucker was minimal for him (really should have rested him).
Sure... because the games really are not that important to the Rockets. If they were important he would play in both. We obviously are comfortable in the 4/5 hole and not desperate for the 3 spot. The Rockets want to win every game but there was clearly no sense of urgency and a couple of the regulars did not put forth their regular amount of effort. I suppose someone could say that MDA should be able to get the same level of effort from his role players that Pop does... but the truth is Pop sat his guys a lot even when they were elite and they lost meaningless games late in the season too.
The narrative was the rockets don’t look at the standings. Yeah they’re obviously comfortable in the 4/5 spots bc they do care about matchups. They could have moved up to 3 but obviously they don’t want to be on the clips side of the bracket. The same thing people are accusing other teams are doing, the rockets are pretty much doing the exact same thing
