Heavyweight fight tonight. A little rope-a-dope.
We threw BIG punch in first half. Raps come back and counter in 3rd Q.
We get back off the mat to finish them off.

Also, I forget who said this in the Scott Foster Lakers game thread, but you have to play well enough so that bad officiating becomes less of a factor.

That was really evident today. The officiating was preeeetttty awful in the third, and even in the fourth (e.g. PJ Tucker's blocking foul) but the Rox overcame that by executing on offense and not playing tentatively on defense.

    and wait, Harden had 35?

    How? When??

    MVP.

When the Rockets win on TNT they usually just ignore it happened. There was no crow eating.

So far, over one of the toughest stretches of the season, the Rockets have a 6 game winning streak and look impressive on both offense and defense. When Faried comes back and shores up the rebounding, we'll have one more area covered. This could be the start of a remarkable run.

This is this also the second time Kawhi sat the game before the Rockets game to get ready for Harden and failed.

    Why?

The 3rd quarter was horrid. It takes 2-3 great quarters to win a game these days.

See I didn’t see it as a horrific game by Paul.... I actual thought he was brilliant, he just didn’t make shots..... but that’s never really been his game.... his game isn’t about HIS numbers but how he effects everyone else’s numbers.... that’s his value......

I havent looked at his number for his career but he’s may only have about 2-3 yrs of averaging 20+ points a game.....

Actual I’d bet that his scoring and assist avg or a lot closer than people realize......

When he’s whipping that ball around the rockets are gonna play good, bottom line

Tied for third in the West! Keep it rolling all the way to the second seed. Wait, the FIRST SEED is actually possible!

Green doesn't even look at the basket when he shoots, he just does

It was definitely a gross quarter. But some of the takes were insane, like "This is the version of Harden and Tucker we'll see in the Playoffs" and stuff like that.

It's ok to be frustrated, but those are hotter takes than the hottest cakes I've ever baked. And some people I never see comment when the Rockets are doing well are always mouthing off when they're struggling.
