He needs to be asked what we are going to do when we get run off the line . And he needs to be asked why the **** he played James 40+ minutes in a game that was never close . Ask him if he is aware that there is a game tomorrow night . Then ask him if he is gonna sit James tomorrow . If he's not then ask him how he expects James to play in the Postseason with dead legs . Then ask him if he can eat only one Pringle.

 

Houston has poor defence. Opponent can get over 50 field goal percentage and less rebounds today. I suggest morey to sign carlos boozer for power forward upgrade

 

The Rockets are pump faking in order to get the defender off balance for the penetration... I mean... there was plenty penetration tonight. You'd be complaining if we were jacking up all those 3s with defenders in our face. Can't win no matter what apparently.

He started James in the 4th to try and cut the lead... and it was cut to 11 and the Rockets looked good.

Why would he sit James tomorrow?

Why would he have any problem about James playing in the playoffs? When James himself has said he isn't tired and doesn't like sitting.

Better defense than Ryno. Check.
Better non 3-point shooting offense than Ryno. Check.

That's how bad Ryno is. A CBA scrub will be a better choice at the starting PF position than Ryno.

Sometimes you have to take the decision of whether or not to play out of a player's hands.

If James doesn't get tired should he be allowed to play the full 48 every night ?

You have to protect your best players and that means forcing rest upon them . There is , of course , a balance and trust that is a middle ground . But tonight was a good one for dantoni to exercise some control .

Pump faking is fine . It's what we did after getting past the defender that needs addressing .

This strategy has been used against us a few times now , with good success .

Either it's a personel problem or a coaching problem .

Given that the ****ING PELICANS were able to execute it to perfection I'd be willing to say that our talent should have been able to take advantage of the out of control close outs .

Another question I should have mentioned is wing/perimeter defense . Solomon hill made us his personal b**** tonight . Ariza can't hold down the perimeter anymore . ****, all of or guys were getting torched . Where was the adjustment ?

 

I certainly would let them have Ryno back.When he's in a grove on treys his something. Problem is that he is ON one game and off the next two. He brings little else....especially defensively...I mean he is a JOKE on D. Little else on offense besides firing up really long range 3's. JMO.

I'll be back cheering them on tomorrow night. It is disappointing to watch us play down to the competition. We had embarrassed them twicw, I was concerned that we could get in trouble if we didn't play with energy.That's what happened.
