Did watch the game, but noticed the good shooting %.

Anyone know why the starters played so many minutes in a preseason game? Anderson 38+, Harden 36+, Ariza 33+. Gordon 30+.

I'm kind of confused by this statement. I somewhat like the idea of Gordon starting with Harden, but if anything, this game would be the argument in favor of Beverley starting. Our defense was pure ass this game. Their guards were scoring at will and they were basically playing their 2nd unit at the end of the game against our starters.

Yeah, our offense looks great. And this team looks like it will be fun to watch. But our defense looked so terrible that game, even worse than last year's.

My guess is that coach is trying to give them more minutes to play with each other. Coach has been in the league too long to think that he needs to do everything to win a meaningless pre season game.
