They guard no one (sit in the lane for 5~10 seconds at a time)
and play the passing lanes

He was double teamed the whole game and his teammates were not making the defense pay for it. He looked gassed. Regardless of how well conditioned athletes are, they still have a harder time playing in Denver.

 

This right here. Just the little be change. Just go a little faster. Denver brought the double when there was no time for Harden to pass out of it.

 

Ben badly missed at least 3 that were open by NBA standards.

 

Tucker 2-5, not good. He hasn't given us much offensively, Rivers and Mc were both awful tonight. Everyone but House was a net negative tonight, everyone on Denver was a plus. The score ,may not show it but we were beaten soundly tonight in every facet. Harden w/ 8 to's as well. Their D was impressive

 

there's not much gimmick about forcing others to beat you. that's actually being smart lol

 

I agree he was gassed. I commented earlier that the Denver elevation appeared to be getting to him or something.

 

Running out of patience with mclemore. The shots he is missing are wide open. His role is to hit those shots. Denver just kicked our ass today. Poor decision making by several rockets today. Too many mistakes and bad shooting. Craig played great D as he always does on us. Harden can’t figure out the delayed double and zone defense.

 

We're going to have a lot of those shooting nights. We don't have that many consistent good 3pt shooters. Gordon and Tucker are the only ones.... and Gordon is out injured. Tucker can only shoot the corner shots, so we're pretty much praying on Harden dropping a consistent 35 points plus every night for us to have a chance.

 

Time to go on another win streak

 

We should be winning MORE when we force a double team not less. What happend tonight man was just.....gross idk.

 

He can potentially address the issue on the margins if ownership is willing to go into the tax and spend money. There will be players in the 5-6 million dollar range that are capable of helping if properly scouted... He also had Capela in his back pocket if he chooses to go that way... he has a #1 to play with and there will likely be a lot of buyouts this Winter.

 

Smart move when NBA players can't hit open jumpers

 

the rockets went on this streak bc harden was in god mode making up for others. tonight, the others needed to step up. they didn't and the results showed.

 

Tbf to him (also cause he looks like a nice guy) we shouldn't have big expectations on him, like i said he was basically out of the league and considered a bust so...one good game shouldn't change that, Dekker had a 35 point game in Memphis two years ago and he's still a scrub.

 

It maybe smart, but it takes humility to say that Harden is unguardable and you resort to needing extra players to guard him. Clippers won't double (to their detriment) since they think they are the best defensive team in the league.

 

Usually waiting for a double to kick out to your teammate to play 4 on 3 is the smart basketball play but not for this team... I do wish Harden would just beat the double and force the issue but he seemed content with passing it out tonight. Even then, I think people would be upset if he started chucking with a double team.

Sadly, we have too many subpar players that gets masked by James Harden dominating possessions so when he doesn't force the issue, you get results like tonight.

Credit to Denver, they just outplayed us tonight.

i wouldn't put it pass the clippers. we have yet to see them at full strength. i think theyll throw different looks at harden and see what works and what not
