    Kenny Smith was not a good defensive point guard, neither was Archibald.

    For people who actually play basketball or any kind of team sports, the impact of team and player momentum to the end result of a game is something that goes without saying. They got it all over their bodies from previous losses.

    For those who don't play basketball, momentum and rhythm are the things they have never experienced, that's why they would tend to neglect them when they evaluate a game.

    For this game thread, most of them really were not talking about Lin.

    They were saying in essense that McHale took the starting PG out for too long, and let Toney who was really a SG in alone to play the PG role too long, especially without Harden on court.

    It just happened that Lin was the starting PG for the team.
