I'm half expecting Morey to get canned/spend more time with his family after a decent interval from his HK tweet. Then devote his energies to esports full time.

TF's taken away a lot of his tools, and let's face it: the NBA has caught up to Daryl. People know not to trade with him unless he's dumping salary, and people have figured out that 3s are really really useful.

Yea, Im not saying they've been bad, but we dont really have impact defenders like Tucker, we need one or two more.

I agree defense is a problem but honestly we could easily be 5-0 right now if just ONE person...had a decent shooting night, Gordon and Harden(mostly).

We started off thais way last year, there's no reason we cant turn it around.....er maybe. Hopefully Turner can surprise us.

Putting House on the bench is a bad idea. He and Tucker are the only two guys busting their ass on defense, and he’s actually making his open threes.

What’s concerning about Gordon is he’s getting blown by on defense way too much. Shooting slumps happen, especially when the majority of your shots are deep threes. However, staying in front of your man is not something that should slump.

This is so true imo...and here's where we probably miss Paul, someone who helds players accountable on the court, James isn't that guy obviously, same thing with Westbrook, they just don't lead with example on defense (although Russ had a couple of hustle plays here and there) and no one is going to challenge them in that territory, coach included.

3-27 from 3 for James, WB, and EGo. 22-63 from the field in total. 19-36 2pt fg isn't terrible.

A whole lot of money to shoot that badly though.

While I agree that the Rockets would be 5-0 if they were shooting a respectable percentage on three-point shots, if they don’t start trying for four quarters on defense consistently, they can kiss any hopes of a championship goodbye. The Rockets turned up their defensive intensity after the All-Star Break last season, but they never eliminated the bad habit of building big leads and going on cruise control, only to lose the game. They lost anywhere from 5-10 games that way last season, which cost them the first or second seed in the playoffs, and forced them to face the Warriors before the conference finals. Point is, while there is definitely time to turn it around, these same problems existed the entirety of last season, yet there is no sense of urgency among the players to fix them.

Fat ass Morey still think mid range shots is bad way of scoring.

This has been the worst Harden on the defensive end since 2014. He gives zero ****s. And Westbrook and Clint are just awful defensive players.

    Rockets championship formulas:
    1. Midgets basketball works
    2. No mid range shots basketball works
    3. Coaching is not important
    4. Defense could be terrible but offense ok

I really don’t think Rockets can win championship if fat ass Morey want to win with this way!

Ehh...honestly the thing that killed all season(rebounding) was there at every turn, even when our defense was good.Im just hoping we can fix that too...cause this lack of rebounding is not working. Idk how we out rebounded the bucks the first game.

It is. Unless your percentage on those shots is close to your next-to-the-rim percentage. Or unless taking a few midrange shots causes your success rate on rim shots or 3s to skyrocket.

The Rockets's problems are not going to be solved by taking more midrange shots. For Chrissake, WB stopped doing that $hit here, and he's a better, more efficient player for it.

Are we SURE there isn't another Kardashian rearing her overly made up head near James?

Obviously Kawahi and Durant do not think so, especially in playoffs.

Didn't realize we played injured teams too besides the fact some were 2nb2b. We barely won those games.

Have the Mavericks already surpassed the Rockets?

I remember his first year he was here there were videos of him practicing a million 3s or something in the offseason. Dude looks like he just got done sitting on his ass all summer this time around
