I agree with everything you said besides mavs wont be as hot. Hopefully not, but we need to tighten up our D. Cant rely on them not being as hot.

Yes we need stops. People acting like our offense fell apart when harden got doubled but we put 75 points in a half FFS

 

I'm tired of this excuse. Harden's double doesn't generate 4 vs 3. The help defender on Harden quickly recovers due to Harden being stationary.

 

Do you have any evidence for this? Especially this game?

 

russ is doing ok .

we were doing well when he was guarding luka because we was being physical , the problem is russ isnt a very smart defender and the mavs as a team will take advantage of it ( back-cut) .

we miss the mythical healthy gordon. we should be giving caroll a shot or maybe luc depending on how he's looked.

I'd prefer putting harden on luka but james has 4 fouls .

I still think we can come back and win , but now it wont be easy. Main thing is guys have to hit our 3's . we need to generate more turnovers

 

I would feel embarrassed if I wasn’t so pissed off. Where’s Covington? Someone needs to remind him that technically it’s the actual season going on here, as weird as that is. We need him to wake up at both ends.

Why can't Harden be surrounded by decent shooters like Luka has?

Our defense just isn't good enough. We literally have to play perfect defense most nights for this small ball to work. You can't keep relying on Harden to drop 50 to 60 points.

It's the same old story with the double teaming for Harden..... we have no answer to it. Harden makes the quick pass and we don't punish the other teams most of the time. Westbrook has the easiest job in the world when Harden gets double teamed at half court. He literally has 3 other guys to pick from when they only have 3 back.

 

So are the players, tired.

It's tough to play consistent D with 6'5 fters.

 

Westbrook is just like an anchor that brings any teams offensive rating to the bottom of the ocean

 

if covington cant shut down luka then we have no chance vs mil, or either la team and we might as well pack it up .

 

The defense is not good while Carroll and Luc sit on the bench. I don’t care if Luc can’t shoot or if he’s rusty. At least he’ll play some defense. And you know Carroll will. Instead we would rather try to outshoot a team whose offense is better.

 

Lmao you know why the defense recovers bc the decision making sucks after harden gives up the ball outside of 1 or 2 players. Guys get hesitant and that’s the difference. Bad reads and hesitating shots Allows recovery. It isn’t bc of harden. Stop that bs


He absolutely generates 4 vs 3 but you without a doubt need to know wtf you’re doing to take advantage. If anyone doesn’t see 4 vs 3 you really have no idea what’s going on on that floor

 

If we can't stay in front of Luka the switching defense won't work.

We are too damned short and Luka is getting by whomever is guarding him forcing rotation and they find the open guy who is hitting his shots.

Need to get physical against Porzingis. He's the problem...he's been way too comfortable.

 

What happened to Westbrook? Is this just because he relied on raw athleticism to dominate but has since slowed down due to age?

 

Hasn't that happened with untold numbers of players who have career nights against us ... Remember Corey Brewer anyone ?
