Westbrook is playing witht he league's second leading scorer, and has a top ten PER. Lin is not getting all the shots those players are because he isn't the best or second best player on the team.

That is just BS. Harden is a playmaker and scoring machine who plays weak defense and turns the ball over a lot. He is also 23 and one of the top scorers in the league during his first stint as a starter and feature player.

If that is your team's best player, you have a bright future ahead.

What we fans have to do is be patient and see if he grows; if he adds to his game each offseason. That will let us know how tough it will be to win with him as the best player on the team.

Westbrook also has a me first attitude, not the passive team first mentality that Lin has. Ironically the former attitude would probably be better for Lin and lead to more wins.

Why does Lillard only have 8 shots? Is he pulling a Lin?

Westbrook, no matter the attitude, is the second best player on a contending team. Whatever he's doing, he's doing pretty well.

And yes, that's what I've been arguing. Lin's passive and non-agressive mentality is costing us games, sometimes I wish he would just be aggressive and force shots like Westbrook. Be confident in yourself.

Very subjective on your point of view...he's not the best to Harden, but who's scored the most points in any game this season after Harden? Lin is not getting those shots since the coaches are still tuned to their no "democratic" ball crap.

Portland has been experiencing their own losing streak. 4 in all. They moved up 1 game on us overall because we lost 5 in a row.

    Put it clear for PnR:

    CP3 -- 212
    Tony Parker -- 313
    Raymond Felton -- 260
    Goran Dragic -- 205
    Vasquez -- 301
    Jeremy Lin --148

Sampson is an idiot. I'm not sure about Mchale. It looks like it.

I don't think you get it. Lin isn't "aggressive" because he can't shoot. End of discussion. If he was a respectable shooter there would be none of this passive Lin nonsense that people keep spouting. Is he going to be aggressive & drive into the defenders that sag off of him in the paint? He is playing the best he can because of his ugly shooting. He is passing to his teammates & trying to force the defense to adjust. He can't force the defense to adjust based on his shooting (damian & Kyrie do this, steph curry as well) so he has to rely on his passing. If he makes the right pass & the ball moves well then he can exploit the seams in the defense.

If Lin were to start forcing shots he wouldn't be Westbrook at all. Russ has elite athleticism that is why he can get away with the crap he pulls. He is also surrounded by significantly more talent & has a much longer leash than Lin does. Lin would look a lot more like Jennings if he were to do what you want him to do. He doesn't need a Westbrook like mentality he needs to just be a better shooter.

Westbrook is shooting 41%. Worse than Lin...yet averages 22 points because he puts up a ton of shots. He takes more shots than Durant.

He also averages only 2 assists more than Jeremy even though he has Ibaka and Durant and Martin, elite shooters and finishers around him.

If Jeremy was taking more shots than Harden while shooting 41% everyone would be up in arms.

Can one of you stats wizards extrapolate what JLin's stats would be like if he were given similar PnR opportunities as the other good PnR PGs in the league? Maybe take his PPP from his PnR plays, use that for around 35% of his plays, reduce the spot up plays by 50%, etc.
