Ish is moving from slightly annoying to torturously annoying, are we seriously going to have to watch him get backup 1 minutes all season?

They must really not have any confidence in Canaan.

Yeah, but if you look like crap in the preseason, that's not good.

That's fine for the guys who already know they are on the team. Harden isn't playing that hard or trying to take over. The starters aren't playing all that hard.

But the back-ups and guys fighting for spots ARE trying to play well. So if they can't do well in preseason when they are trying to make the team, they aren't going to be able to turn it on during the regular season like the starters can.

    That's a little concerning.

Ish not being able to hit 3's is a huge hindrance

its preseason guys, he's sitll playing because coach wants to give him a chance to break out of his shell if hes going to. better yet to give him the chance now then to know we havve a sitting gem on the bench the entire season. because this is the ONLY time hes going to get to do this. coaches understand that.

So our bench is basically Daniels and a bunch of scrubs...

That said, Black needs to be in our rotation.

Good summary - it's proper to remain optimistic about our team as a whole, because we know what we're getting from Dwight, James, Bev, etc - but with the guys trying to make the team, what you see is going to be about what we get and I haven't seen a bench that is going to beat anyone else's bench in the league, at least not with McHale calling plays for it.

That's a good second unit right there: Smith, Pop, Daniels, Black, and who else? Solid, smart.

No one on our team (except for Harden, Ariza, and Troy) can hit 3's.

I dunno if that necessarily true. We are seeing a lot of lineups that consist of nothing but bench guys. That's not what we are going to see in the season. Daniels will get so much better looks and overall look better if he's in with Harden and Howard. I feel the same way with a bunch of these guys. The presence of our stars on the floor will make these guys look way better than when they are flanked by guys who might not even make the team.

All in all I don't think preseason is good for anything more than choosing who of the last few guys make the team and just getting players in the flow of playing games. A player being hot or cold doesn't mean a whole lot to me.
