This times 10. Only way they winning is with opening 3's. However, I don't want Rockets taking this team lightly. Remember these ISO chuckers got 50+ in a qr.
I don't conceive a simple win over any team at this point. This team can play worst than the Bucks at times so go figure.
I'd actually think about resting Harden/Parsons/Dwight/Bev in this game, and letting them rest up for Denver, since that game will be played at a higher altitude. Not worried about locking up the 4th right now, b/c we need to get 1-2 games in before the playoffs to get on the same page when Dwight and Bev comes back anyhow... might as well rest players now... so they can have a "preseason" before the playoffs.
We will be penciling in a loss if we do that. Our bench is terrible. Even the Lakers can beat us if we don't use any starters (other than Jones).
How about doing it Popovich style. Send your stars home, eat the fine, and say f**k you, NBA commissioner and Denver fans who came to see Harden.
now that asik seems to be back on track, it's time to spend the next few games giving Jeremy every opportunity to round in to form. if that means resting harden/parsons against the lakers, then so be it. also, when is howard expected back?
I don't agree with this. The team would have lost the Denver game without the bench. If you don't believe me, go back and watch the second quarter again. On top of that, Asik will be coming from the bench in the playoffs. Garcia, Casspi and Canaan are all starting to warm up their 3PT shooting making some real scoring options there. Have you noticed that McHale always leaves one or two starters on the floor to improve their stats line with the help of the bench. I don't have any problem whatsoever with that, but one has to recognize it.
It is important to involve Jeremy early, so he can gain confidence. We won't be able to win without Harden and Parsons.
