This game was like night and day with George Hill back just like when we lost against the Spurs with Tony Parker playing. Those guys are the engine to their team. Beverley couldn't keep up, always a step behind getting beat constantly and having to foul. Harden was terrible defensively, not fighting over any screens causing multiple defensive breakdowns, ball watching and not guarding his man or the man he ends up switching on. The same with Ariza who Hayward made him his b**** last night. No boxing out from Anderson or any other Rockets when Capela had to help on defense. Anderson sometimes looks allergic to even wanting to try to play defense.

The Rockets need a PF/SF who has Capela's back. So many teams lack this player in today's shoot 3s 4/5-Out offenses you're seeing. Capela does a great job of helping his teammates when they get beat, but NO ONE helps him when he rotates. Our 1-3s are simply too small and weak to actually stop Capela's man (a big center) from stepping in and dunking without committing the foul. That's why you need a PF who his hawking the paint and can quickly close out on 3 pt shooters. The great thing is most bigs who shoot 3s can't dribble well enough so if you close out and stay on your feet then that's good defense.

Anderson, D-Mo, NeNe....they do not fit the criteria. Dekker is the closest thing we have to fit this position, but he is not enough. A player like Ibaka, Davis, Green, Fareid, Giannis, Dieng, Kristaps, Henson.

Some unproven talent that might fit this role:
    Deyonta Davis
    Richaun Holmes

Draymond Green is the reason the Warriors came out of left field. He provides the 3 ball and he does this to a T. He is big, quick, and strong enough to help out the helper. Match up nightmare.

Seems like with GSW next, they looked past the Jazz and came out flat. Sucks that we're about to see a 2 game losing streak...

I don't remember hearing this much hype about george hill until he signed with the Jazz...he was in Indiana and just another role player, now he's the engine for this team and average 23 points like an all start, wth.

The Jazz made almost every shot they threw up during the first quarter. Still, when you give up 38 points in one quarter you don't really deserve to win. Good teams only manage to give up 38 points in one half. The Rockets still have lots of work to do on the defensive end but we kind of knew that would be the case going into this season.

I am telling you this jazz team looks very good on paper. Multiple guys who can shoot, score, pass, drible drive penetrate, defend, playmake. Theres no shame in losing to them.
