    Mediocre. Hmmm
    NBA Coach of the Year with Suns
    Consecutive appearances in WCF with Phoenix
    Selected for coaching staff Team USA
    Took best team in NBA to 7 games last year (another WCF appearance)
    Coach of Year again

    So, THAT's a mediocre coach? MOST coaches have these kinds of accomplishments, or BETTER?

    And if you say he rode the coattails of HOF players, then you could say the same of
    Phil Jackson (MJ, Kobe, Shaq)
    Greg Popvich
    Steve Kerr
    Pat Riley
    and the list goes on. . . by YOUR standards these other coaches are also marginalized

    D'Antoni may not be HOF coach, but he's better than mediocre

    This is why we should have rest him against the Hawks and tonight. What's the point of playing if he's not at 100%? He's only going to do more damage.
