xD good to see ryan back. couple things i liked. i love the new offense. rafer and mike james ran the point great, especially rafer. yao looked good in the high post, and bonzi looked absolutely rejuvinated. t-mac still sucks at free throws, but he had a very nice block. hopefully he'll step up his D now that the offensive load is off him.

Sucks that we lost, but oh well, it's preseason.

I wonder why Brooks didn't play in the game? I was looking forward seeing him play. Hope Adelman plays him alot in the next game we have.

well he had sat for a while and other than that he played the best, by far, at the pg spot. after seeing MJ and francis work the point i dont know how the rockets can get rid of rafer.

I'm sorry, but that last moving pick by scola was hilarious....that has to be against the rules whatever league you're in

Agree about not dismissing Alston because he's a pass-first guard.

I wasn't trying to rip James though. It's not like it's a bad thing to have a shoot-first guard. When he's in the game though, he's going to try to score obviously. Adelman would be wise to insert him in the game with other players whose role is not to necessarily to score. Like defensive players.

If James starts, then Battier should start for sure instead of Bonzi. I'd rather start Alston and have James be the 2nd stringer and Francis the hybrid SG/PG off the bench.

At the beginning of the game did Bill Worrell say that there were NO plays in the playbook yet? Did I hear that correctly?

If Bonzi plays like that all season we're going to be very, very serious. I'm also very pleased with Scola. He still has some adjusting to do to NBA style play, but he's so active. I love it.

Rafer Alston looked surprisingly good. I was a bit disappointed in the play of Francis and James. That dunk by Francis was unbelievable though. I'm thinking it might be wise for folks to quit saying he's lost his athleticism.

The play of Scola and Bonzi was really, really encouraging though. Especially since I feel like Francis and James will come around and contribute. I had more questions about Scola and Bonzi than I did either of those guys. I'm amped.

p.s. I could get used to 21 point leads in the first quarter.

Nyeh, maybe they are just trying to build up rafer's trade value so they can ship him out later ;)

we arent going to use 3 different pg's. the bulk will go to rafer and james. i dont think francis will fit on this team.

Bonzi should mentor Tmac on the system... wow i never thought i'd say that.
tmac looked lost at times out there, which is expected in the first game.

Look at the stat. of M. Peterson:

    MIN:24:00; 0-6 (FG); 0-4 (3P); 0-0 (FG).
    0-0 (PTS)

    That's preseason! :D

It's so weird seeing a new coach. The second I saw Adleman, peja, and bobby jackson I thought I was watching the kings for a second :p
