You have to also consider that changing it up can take the games from "winnable" to solid defeats just as easily as they can take them from "winnable" to solid wins.
Say with Francis in the lineup, at best, he would give us anywhere from 10 to 20 ppg. At worst, he'd play like James/Alston. I don't see that as much of a gamble.

At worse James/Alston performance with more turnovers and less flow in the offense for others. So yeah, the upside is higher, but the downside is much worse than we are getting. Though I think when Steve is ready, it will be closer to the upside than the downside, but its there.
Yao will get single coverage from Shaq as Pat Riley tries to challenge (or humiliate) Shaq. If Yao has it going he will go for 30+ easily. Wade will attack and try to get Yao in foul trouble though.
