Asik only needs to improve his offence to soild level (hit open jump shot and one post up move e.g a baby jump hook) and his better then Al Horford
I think Lin will get 17 points 8 assits Harden 24 points 6 assists 4 boards Asik 10 points 13 boards 2 blocks Parsons 12 points 5 boards 3 assists
Harden 30 pts 5 Assist 2 Steal LIN 14 pts 10 Assist 3 Steal Asik 12 pts 4 blocks Parson 12 pts 4 assist
Why so much pessimism? We scored 100+ almost every game(counting preseason) with a limited playbook and a bunch of new players. This team has players that can flat out get buckets. They may not all be consistent, but they are all capable. Delfino, Parsons, Tjones, Asik, and Smith can all score double digits and each capable blowing up, like Delfino did. This team will be a good road team. The players don't panic, they play with good pace and clutchness. Down 9 with 8 minutes left, and all you saw was clutch execution the rest of the way. Harden-Clutch Lin-Clutch Delfino-Shoots like he doesn't give a f***- clutch
If McHale refuses to start rookies then fine, start Morris but he better be subbed out quick and not be brought back in. I hope Smith is fine and will be able to play, his presence and nasty dunks add swag to the team And I might do something unholy if Douglas is brought in as backup PG before Machado.
You can say the same about the Rockets. You can get 20-25 from Harden and 15-20 from Lin but now where do the rest of the points come from? Going to have to hope that Omer can get some easy looks/ put-backs, Parsons gets a couple of clean-up baskets and Delfino hits some threes. The Hawks look better than the Rockets do right now on paper, that's for sure.
Lin needs to step up and score 20+ points for sure. Harden will be double/triple teamed by hawks like Lin in the last game.
Atlanta is probaly the best defensive frontcourt in the league. There small with Horford and Smith, but they are damn tough to score against. Plus they clean up the glass well. The Key is to attack their backcourt of Loul Wiliams, Devin Harris, Jeff Teague and Kyle Krover.
we should not be concern about lin. we should be concern about TD. when lin was on bench, our team looked ****ty with douglas.
Lin's gotta put up 20+ pts or 12+ assists for us to win this game. In fact, if Lins doesn't average 18/8 throughout the season, our playoff chances look tough. He's gotta prove that he can be a second star this season not next season or Morey needs to come through one more time if we're gonna have any hope for this season.
Bang Time Harden will have a good game because no way Teague will keep up with him. Teague couldn't even keep up with Lin last year. Lin will have a good game because he won't be drained chasing Harris on the defensive side all night. Although, Lou Williams had a great game against Lin last year, so I could see Lou getting heavy minutes if Harris doesn't do much offensively. I think a lot of people after the Harden performance have already gone to bed on Chandler Parsons. This guy put up a very very quiet 12/7/6. That's about as solid as it's gonna get from your 3rd/4th scoring option. Not only will Chandler have an easy time guarding the one dimensional Korver, Bang will also have his own way against Korver on the offensive end of the ball. See a lot of slashing with the ball, and back door without the ball. I'm calling a dunk/layup clinic for Parsons where he will either finish with 20+ or dish out 8-10 dimes.
I hope Douglas puts up a better performance and can at least hold down the fort when Lin's getting a rest. Don't need much from him... a 0 +/- rating would be a nice start.
Impress Josh Smith. That's all that matters for this game. Oh and Harden going off too should be an important factor.
